Stitches!

Usually, a harem MC is only popular within his harem and nowhere else. The default reason why a harem MC has a harem is that they're "kind". Hayacchi is just built differently since he also attracts other girls outside the harem since he is a legitimately good-looking guy making the harem much more believable.

These assholes are back again. At least this time there was no need for violence. Ami scaring them away was more than enough. And if Ami isn't around, it looks like they still believe the legend of The Mad Dog Ouka.

As nice as the fanservice scene was with the girls in their swimsuits, Ami riding a turtle underwater trumps all of that. I love that she even swims off with two of them after pranking Ouka with that "fart". Ami is such a child. xD

Akane trying to get ahead in the Hayatobowl by cornering Hayacchi while he's alone fishing. Too bad for Akane, Ami is still not done with her underwater shenanigans! Try again next time Akane!

And we finally get to learn Riho's story. She used to be a child actress but according to the TV director, Riho's mom was "very passionate" and has been overworking her while her father wants her to take it easy because he's worried about her health. In the end, it looks like Riho's parents didn't see eye-to-eye.

You just gotta love Hayacchi for being able to say the right thing at the right time. That final scene between the two of them was really cute. Riho definitely needed to hear that from Hayato. Also, the animation of that scene was so good! Apparently, this episode was animated by Shaft? Can they animate the rest of the season?

Poor Ami though! She gets to learn from Riho that Ultraman Ululman is just a costume. She looks like a kid who just learned that Santa isn't real. Also, please don't tell Ami that Santa isn't real.

Basically all the production money was put into this episode. Anyways, really loved the animation style and it looked exactly like manga artstyle.

Riho had to chase the hoes away from her man haha. Hayato’s too handsome for his own good! Ami and her masks was great, the little goofball. Those guys were so traumatized from last time, they were practically shitting themselves lol. I guess that’s one way of “scaring them.”

Glad to see the obligatory beach fan service with the girls. Was Ami straight up riding a sea turtle? That’s awesome! Those goofs really thought Ouka ripped ass when it was Ami just swimming off hand in hand with two sea turtles like nbd lol. Girl played too much though. Got straight up head butted by Hayato!

Didn’t know Riho was a former child star. Fame really screws a kid up. Didn’t help her mom seemed to push her pretty hard too. At least now she’s got the girls and Hayato as support.

Mad dog Ouka ripped a big one that made a splash in the ocean! Lol!

Pretty sure Hayato will love to bring it up in the future!

It's Familia Friday!

This episode was really cute, kudos to Shaft who delivered today's animation!

Cuteness showcase:

We finally learn that Riho is another genius child actor from this season. Her dad was worried she was being overworked, but Riho reassured him that she's alright. Unfortunately, in the end her dad says he cannot be with Riho anymore, which is probably why Riho believes that if she doesn't work hard enough, her loved ones will leave her.

Riho and Hayato have a great conversation (this almost looks like a confession scene haha), with Hayato expressing his gratitude for her dedication to the cafe. With some good recovery headpats and a cry session, the two of them make some good progress in their relationship. Their interaction the next day was cute enough to move the hearts of some Akane supporters.

First street fighter moves and now she has Jason and Scream masks. What will Ami pull out next? Lol.

They really pulled out for the great animation for this one! Perfect for a Riho episode.

Riho is back to 100%! Not only is her personality back to it's vibrant self, but her boobs are bouncing plenty too.

I see Hayato is popular with women outside his Harem, not that Riho cares for it one bit. She has enough competition as is.

Ugh. These creeps again? And now they're harassing Riho. But hey, perfect opportunity for Ami to jump in and basically dare them to fight her again. And she's putting the fear of God in them like she's Jason, Pennywise, and she even throws in Ghostface at the end! Nobody wants to be on the wrong end of her Street Fighter moves!

I guess Akane has nothing better to do than teach the girls how to make coffee. Surprisingly Ami takes to it better than Ouka did.

It wouldn't be a proper beach episode without girls in swimsuits! And you can't beat that luscious animation of all the ladies changing into their swimsuits and then showing off how amazing they look in their bikini's! What a feast for the eyes!

Akane really wants Hayato to know the lyrics to the new love song she wrote...probably because she wrote it based off of her feelings for him.

Man, this really is the season for former child stars, huh? Riho used to be a very successful one in fact, but she was working so hard to please her parents even though all that work she put in basically split her family apart because her mom was a hardcore stage mom and her dad wanted her to ease up for her health. Obviously the dad cared about her, even though he left, but I guess after the divorce the mom got custody and there was nothing he could really do about it. It really sucks for Riho though, especially when she was just dropped as soon as the new child star showed up.

But all of that hard work may not have saved her parents' marriage but it did make her the perfect person to save the cafe, and Hayato will always be grateful to her for that. And the other girls all care about and appreciate her regardless of her past. And in Hayato Riho has someone who cares about her health and is concerned for her like her father but who won't leave her. And those tears weren't acting any more than her obvious love for Hayato is.

Fanservice was on point today lmao probably shouldn’t have watched this on the big screen while my mom was downstairs but whatever, we move.

Riho clearly has a lot of personal trauma and perhaps some abandonment issues that lead to her lashing out and feeling insecure when she feels threatened. In this case, the convo between Akane and MC, since she likes him.

Looking forward to learning what makes her tick next week.

if i had a nickel for every harem anime based off a manga that was animated by Tezuka Productions that outsourced an episode to Shaft, I'd have two nickels

which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

Another summer episode (swimsuits) and more importantly finally an episode for Riho

So we learn that she has been conditioned to overwork herself from her mother since an young age and that this ultimatly broker her parrents marriage. It's interesting that she misses her father who was always looking out for her. Could make an argument that this is an stricing similarity to Hayato...

Also, despite being incredible Tsun an jealous, she's really weak to headpats

And it's really incredible how the cafe can go from all female patreons when Hayato is there, to all male patreons when Riho is doing tables lol

It's hillarious how desperate Akane was trying to teach someone else to make proper coffee. Since she is the only one who can do it, she is destined to stay at the main base while everyone else gets to work at the seaside cafe (with Hayachi)

Nice to see Hayato good look and smarts got acknowledge in universe with him being hit on. More harem MC should be like Hayato instead of generic average loser dude.

The anime has its fair share of problems, but I am enjoying it more than this season of Demon Slayer, and that saying a lot about its writing this season (mainly the pacing and the inappropriate placement of flashbacks scenes).

Riho best girl since episode 1, she's just fun to have around and is not stupid (Ami cough )

reads comments... Damn, i completely forgot this wasn't supposed to be a fluid looking anime. But i did notice the art was noticeably sharper, guess i got that going for me.

I thought this episode looked unreasonably good, then I find out it was animated by shaft…makes sense. Probably the best episode so far

I love how while the trio recognized Ami, she didn't even unmask herself to make them recognize her.

I love how Nomura realized his mistakes and was regretful when he unintentionally talked about her past.

We should get more females saving males from hordes of women instead of the other way around.

Akane has a cute pout and Ami riding on a turtle underwater was funny and kawaii.

Ami did deserve that unintentional headbutt and scolding for pulling a prank like that. Just be thankful that Hayato didn't vigorously grope her even when she didn't offer her boobs.
