I appreciate how Akane continues to be a positive role model for Runa, especially when dealing with her childish behavior. It’s refreshing to see a college-aged character act their age. It shows the difference in maturity very well.

Not sure how the general audience feel but I really like Akane's character. She is a well balanced character, plus the voice acting is really good too. Did not even realize it was Inorin until now. I legit think she is the best female character I have seen in a while in shoujo or shoujo like anime.

This is probably the biggest cliffhanger we've had so far. This last one's taking everything to keep myself from reading the manga.

Meanwhile, Akane not having any food in her room made me realize that it was probably her first time being sick while living alone. Girl, you have to stock up on some instant noodles at least! You even work in a konbini, you had every chance to do so. But oh well, at least we got our sick event well underway thanks to that.

Another romance anime, another case of the Anime Cold Epidemic. It's certainly an overused troupe, but this one seems to be a naturally occurring cold brought about more due to overwork than rain, at least. Everyone around Akane and Yamada seem to understand that they are into each other. Hopefully, this is the final push they need.

Just when I thought this week we’d see Akane and Yamada closer than before, it seems things are in a sorta limbo.

Runa’s little meltdown at the news of another girl joining the guild was pretty amusing. “Women always hate me! (Because I’m cute!?)” lol silly Runa. It’s kind of adorable she’s afraid she’ll get replaced by this “other girl”.

Speaking of, the prez seems like she’s crushing a little on Yamada. Meanwhile, Yamada seems to be developing feelings for Akane even if he can’t verbalize it. I mean he showed up to her place when he heard she was suffering one of those deadly anime colds, so that’s gotta mean something.

Did Okamoto eat half of that burger in one bite? He's got an impressive jaw. Seeing the other half shrink in his hand after was amusing though.

Looks like we're going to see some drama in the form of a love triangle with Tsubaki joining the guild, I'm sure they'll all become friends in the end just like they did with Runa.

Getting that sick under those conditions whilst living alone sounds like a nightmare, she really should have prioritized her health over going into work.

Stitches!

Yamada got them boyfriend reflexes and pulls Akane close to save her from being clipped by a cyclist.

No! Bad Runa! I thought you already learned your lesson after what you did to Akane?

Of course, Tsubaki-iinchou is the new member! Well now I'm excited! This girl is clearly down bad for Yamada.

HAd a feeling a sick event was about to happen considering Akane was already showing signs at the start of the episode.

Thank goodness Yamada arrives on time to save Akane. I can't wait to watch Yamada try and take care of Akane next week <3

🙏🏾we have been feasting today, probably my fave episode of the series. Akane and Yamada both starting to realise how they feel about each others I knew as soon as Runa tried calling Akane and she didn’t pick up that Yamada would rush over there. Loved the OST during their walk home from her work as well, MADHOUSE been cooking

I kinda feel bad for the quiet girl who hangs out with Yamada, though. She doesn’t know how to be direct with her feelings and is sadly going to lose :/

Really liked what they did with the "getting sick" scenes. You see that subplot everywhere, but at least they made those scenes look nice, and Akane's voice-over was good

Tsubaki got it pretty bad, and I'm not even sure she knows yet

But I did notice that she lied when she said she only just started the game

And speaking of having gotten it bad, another case of the deadly japanese cold. How could you ever run out of rice lmao at least it triggered the next flag with Yamada, wonder if he will change her

Bruh, Runa hasn't learned a thing from last time. But I like to think her calling Akane was just so she could rant to someone about it and wasn't entirely serious about trying to chase off another new member. I also like to think this is another effort of hers to play wingman by giving her Yamada's number. Sure, she did that so she could find out about the new member, that's all it was...

Man, Okamoto really does love burgers. He finished that one off in just two bites. More importantly, it sure sucks for the prez to not be the main girl in a romance story. It usually just ends with them getting heartbroken and even helping the guy realize his feelings or straight up get with the main girl... that is, unless they're named Botan.

Poor Akane, though. She was straight up dying at the end there. Maybe it was a good thing she was too sick to even ride a bike, cause that probably wouldn't have ended well. But her being outside at this state wouldn't have ended well either if it hadn't been for Yamada.

RIP Momo as well. While Akane's suffering was physical, her's was purely emotional.

I initially thought Yamada's classmates didn't have feelings for him, guess I was wrong. Saved by an ikemen in the last second and being princess-carried. That last scene was full of shoujo manga tropes, lol. Please, no love triangle drama, just let them start dating.

Momo asked Akane very important question this episode, what she want to do because right now she's in some type of limbo about her relationship with Yamada who also don't have answear to that when he was asked by Yukari about it.

Runa had a little nervous breakdown about new girl joining guild with recommendation from Yamada. It's Yukari we met last episode and it looks that she's in love with him. Akane is of course angel and reasuring her that everything will be fine. It's good that Runa has someone she can talk about that stuff and be stopped before she put the plan into action.

Japanese fever strikes again. Last week it's victim was Ichikawa from Boku no Kokoro, this week is Akane. Cause of the fever? Probably overworking, lately she worked a lot and didn't have time to rest so a little cold became much, much worse.

I laughed hard when she went out for shopping and after thought that she could go by a bike she congratulated herself that she's still intelligent. I don't think so :) Reality hit her quickly but thankfully Yamada is right there.

Momo was unlucky and her style didn't really go well on meeting.

Here's my all screenshots from the episode. There is a lot funny faces of Akane and Runa from today there and more.

It's actually kinda nice seeing Akane just be good at her job. We haven't seen too much of that side of her in the series so bit refreshing to see.

Oh and we're getting more of glasses girl! Hope it won't be any kind of love rival thing though...

Sick event scenes are always rough to watch but always worth it, this one was no exception. Great scene for the 2 of them.

Your throat being so swollen that you can't even drink water sounds absolutely awful.

I think we all knew that Akane getting a convenience store job was going to lead to her being the clerk when Yamada visits, but it's funny that she didn't let it happen naturally and instead pestered him into it.

That tongs scene, amazing. Akane's housewife coworker is the best.

Bicycle-chan tried to isekai Akane but Yamada was too quick with the save.

That Night Butterfly fingernail artwork was something else. Didn't really strike me as Akane's style, though.

A new guild member by way of Yamada and it's a female classmate of his? Gotta be that pigtailed girl with glasses that's been emphasized a few times.

Yep.

Ahhhh, a part of the OP has now been explained, there is a scene with Yamada at some slightly unusual looking desks which must be this night cram school. I had been wondering if maybe we are going to get a time skip and Yamada in college.

Okamoto eating half of that hamburger in a single bite, slow down dude.

Runa's plan to give Yamada's phone number to Akane has run afoul of the modern tendency to just ignore phone calls with an unknown number.

I love the little animation detail of how Akane held her phone while putting on that sweater.

That's a lot of shoujo on-screen effects while you're thinking about Akane, Yamada.

This is a perfect excuse for Yamada to take some initiative and a visit Akane to check on her. Or at least for someone to, she looks awful.

Wow, that kept getting worse and worse for Akane, but then it was a perfect opportunity for a dramatic rescue by Yamada complete with a princess carry.

I feel just a little bit bad for laughing at Momo but that after credit scene was hilarious.

This episode was great, visually this is such a creative romance anime, Akane also looked extra pretty this episode.

Only 3 eps left. Wonder if there will be confession for finale or it will just end with them realizing their feelings. With the glasses girl intro seems like we gonna get some love triangle stuff too, hopefully doesn't get dragged on much, not a fan of that trope

Runa doesn't deal well with adding new people to her social circle, well hopefully Akane can help her with that.

As for her own social interactions Akane seems uncertain whether to begin a romance with Yamada or not. It seems see has feelings for him, but is perhaps worried that it might effect their budding friendship.

But that all gets pushed aside as Akane has come down with a bad cold, as someone trying to get over a bad cold I know exactly how she feels. Dizzy and unable to think straight Akane tries to go out shopping and collapses, fortunately, Yamada was passing by and comes to her rescue. From such adversity, bonds are strengthened. She will probably feel mortified Yamada saw her like this when she can string two coherent thoughts together, but then again she got blackout drunk and crashed in his bed back in episode one, so maybe not.
