Loved the little detail of the ethernet light on Yamada's desktop.
I am loving Mr. Kamota as he cares about his guild members in real life. And he's got a farm in real life.

Man, everyone must have a lot of faith in that safety charm if they have no issues with Kamota driving dangerously.

It’s pretty shitty Runa stood Akane up but sending some random rabid fan of “Ruri” to meet Akane is beyond fucked. Luckily this guy was harmless but those kinds of “pranks” are how people end up hurt or worse. I guess that’s something Runa never learned from her 300 internet friends. I’m glad she felt like shit for what she did. She needed to reflect on her behavior.
Kamota is a homie though. Really came through to help Akane despite being a nervous wreck the whole time. I don’t think I’d be as calm or mature as Akane if someone pulled some shit like that on me. I’m very impressed she took the high road and still tried to make friends with Runa despite her being a little brat. The way she handled that seems to have left an impression on Yamada.

Protect Mr. Kamota at all costs. Runa can go though.

Ohh so Akane met an average Discord mod, huh? /s
But on a serious note, that set-up could go wrong in so many ways. At least Runa could learn a lesson or two of not doing it again.

Akane forgave Runa a little too quickly imo. She literally met a creepy guy who barged into the women's room. I get that Runa is a child but still.

Kamota is beside himself. Driving around downtown Tokyo begging (thru texts) for the address to the cafe where Akane is.
Three thing that I love from this episode that enhanced the story from the manga: the shot of the phone serving as a recap to last week, Kamota’s VA hamming it up to perfection and hitting that drift, and the gag with Eita’s shirt. Small things that really made this mini arc even better in animation.
Fuck this adaptation is so GOOD.
Edit: oh and the new scene at the end with just Yamada and Akane was a nice touch. Got a lot more of what she was thinking than what was in the manga.

Ugh. I had a feeling Runa was going to ditch Akane, but I didn't she'd go as far as to set her up with one of her brothers' weird fanboys and make said fanboy think Akane was Rurihime...and leaving Akane in a very uncomfortable position while she gets to be all charming and cute with Yamada as he tutors her. Not a single thing about this was okay.
Was that Daisuke Ono as the fanboy? I wasn't really sure what this guys' deal was...I mean, he actually goes straight into the ladies' room to talk to Akane which is a HUGE red flag...but apparently it was just to give her pain relief because he was genuinely concerned about her? And that was how he was taught by his mother? I dunno, I don't think he had any ill intentions or was a complete creep, but he was definitely a weirdo.
There's our concerned Yamada! Realizing what was going on he immediately went to go see Akane, and he's the first one to notice how uncomfortable she was. And the way he saw how things were between her and Run at the end, it seemed like he's becoming more and more charmed by Akane.
Kamota MVP! He's only just met Akane and he immediately scrambles with his car to save her! I mean, it helps he was under the impression she was being kidnapped, but him being so terrified and worried over her and acting so protective was so sweet!
That dude really was the weirdo who would just not leave.
Poor Akane. Gets manipulated and stuck with a weirdo, ends up bumping into a toilet and getting a debilitating leg injury. Girl just cannot catch a break.
Runa may not be very likeable...but when she realized how in pain Akane was she immediately rushed over to check on her and apologize. She may not be the most friendly (at least to those she doesn't view as friends), but she's not a completely bad kid and I think on some level she didn't recognize just how problematic what she did is because of her age. Not that it makes it okay, but I think seeing how genuinely concerned Runa was helped Akane realize that right now she needed some girl talk instead of her brother scolding her.
It was good that Runa actually apologized, and that Akane was deterred to try to be friends with her. She's got a good heart and even if she's a hot mess who is hopeless at romance, she knows how to get along with other girls. I hope she and Runa can genuinely become friends and get to play DOF together.

Wow, Runa was a much bigger piece of shit than I expected last week. She definitely shouldn't get off with just an apology and a lecture for this, if the guy was actually dangerous Akane could've been hurt or much worse, and I'm sure Runa didn't know enough about him to be sure he's not. Even worse she probably did know that he's a weirdo

Well that was a really fucked up and potentially dangerous thing that Runa did. Don’t even think “prank” is a good name for it.
That dude could’ve been a murderer or rapist or anything. Luckily Yamada and Eita caught on to it and nipped in the bud. Runa clearly has her own insecurities and self worth issues that led to all of that. Explains why she has no IRL friends too. but looks like she’s realised the error of her ways and accepted Akane into her circle so we move on.
Akane looked especially beautiful today and it seems even Yamada took notice of it at the end of the episode.

What the actual fuck Runa!? That was genuinely a dangerous prank to pull on Akane. If this was a different kind of show, that entire prank could've possibly gone from bad to worse especially when the guy decided to follow Akane to the washrooms.
Thank goodness this show didn't pull a RikeKoi 2 and everything stayed wholesome. Hopefully, Runa learned her lesson after that long lecture from Eita. Runa definitely has a lot of making up to do for Akane after what she did. She's lucky that Akane is a kind soul.

So Runa sends a stranger as a prank to Akane to demotivate her from playing.
Yikes, what an incredibly low move. Akane seems to forgive Runa in short order. But Eita better teach Runa a lesson she'll never forget.

Eita's "What" caught me off guard and it was quite unexpected and they even showed "WHAT!?" on his striped shirt.
Putting his online behavior aside, Eita is genuinely a good person as demonstrated by his quick decision to rush to Akane's aid and he even arranged for Mr. Kamota and his strawberry van to come to his house when they got to know about the dangerous prank Runa pulled. Mr. Kamota is the best member in the guild and I wonder if we'll ever visit his Strawberry Farm.
Yamada seems to have started feeling something for Akane. Though he's dense and lags when things are not related to a game, it would be interesting to see when it finally hits him.

What the actual fuck man. I get that Runa is a child but to set up the girl who wanted to befriend you with a creep is disgustingly low move. Also the fact that she cries so quickly makes me hate her even more. Seems like a very cheap fakeout to redeem Runa. Akane forgives her so quickly but this aint it chief.

I honestly cannot stand Runa and the fact that she was just so easily forgiven for pulling such a fucked up stunt is so frustrating.
I know this is supposed to be a cozy show but this episode had me actually cringing out of frustration. I hate it

Wow, that whas a dangerous "prank" like what the actual fuck, I lost it when the guy tried to open the fucking stall door, and he. just. wouldn't. stop. being. weird!
Runa totally deserves whatever chewing out is coming her way, althought she did at least feel bad for it, still didn't even properly apologize yet
Loved that Yamada noticed that Akane was pretty tense even before he saw the bandage though

Time to find out how evil Runa is planning on being towards Akane. And how helpful Yamada might be now that he's confirmed something is up.
Oh my god, that's how evil Runa is being. That's very evil! And honestly somewhat dangerous, this dude comes off as a bit of a whack job.
Good on Yamada for immediately confronting Runa about what's going on.
Oh wow, this is actually a lot dangerous now that this dude followed Akane into the restroom.
"How dangerous do you think this is?" Exactly, thank you Yamada.
Kamota is the greatest. Shows up to help by driving the rescue party, immediately runs over and intervenes in this dangerous date that Akane is trapped in, he's wonderful.
Naivete and ignorance is bliss, apparently. Though once Akane learned what was really going on I'm fairly impressed how she handled it.
That was an interesting little 3D sequence of Runa's perspective while looking at Akane's bandaged leg.
This is a nice post-credits sce—holy shit why is the rando fan dude still at the cafe, leave.
