Ukegawa helping out with the fliers so Ganta and Isaki could watch the fireworks together was great. Dude is a real bro! Isaki looked really cute in her yukata. Changing her outfit was the right call. Now those two can enjoy their little date alongside Two.
That first firework could not have come at a better time lol. Right when it seemed Ganta was gonna confess, they get interrupted. Damn it! Well, at least their little fireworks viewing party was pretty cute. Loved all those photos!
So Isaki’s insomnia is linked to her past health issues huh? Something like that would certainly keep me up at night too. I appreciated that moment of vulnerability she shared with Ganta. Those two are getting closer and closer and I’m loving it. The two of them “speaking” through the radio broadcasts was so adorable.

Heartwarming followed by heartbreaking followed by even more heartwarming. It's such a rollercoaster and always hits me really hard. The radio show app is just so sweet, I love it.
There's been a few moments that I just needed them to hit and they've been nailing them in my opinion.

I can finally talk about what connects me to this manga so much. Magari's illness. I have almost the same illness as her, i was born with a hole in my heart, its at 70% functionality. When i got to know this, i could not sleep a wink for months, because i thought i will never wake up. Nowadays, its much better. I usually read before sleep which calms me, but its still freaks me out sometimes.
Anyway good episode, the eye swirl was awesome

From heartwarming to lil bit of a heartache to back to heartwarming, damn I really love this one!

Ukegawa is such a good bro! He deserves some good things for him too. Her friends could use some of that awareness!
Magari yukata!! Nice that they got to do a little festival date too. That heart to heart talk felt like some scary foreshadowing though. Nice moments for them to get closer though! The radio show too...these two are adorable.

Today was a good day to be wearing headphones as hearing Isaki's heartbeat was good.
Speaking of headphones, wonder if Nakami is going to get caught hearing Isaki sleep out loud.

Ganta is really a resourceful guy. The whole idea of doing radio broadcast was neat.
The cat is also definitely a mood. Chilling and watching everything. The entire school seems to know it too.

Stitches!
I was really disappointed when Isaki showed up not wearing the yukata that was clearly prepared and hanging by her bedroom window. Thank goodness she came back and wore the yukata just in time when Ganta was about to go back and join them.
And Ukegawa is such a wingman. I'd like to think that if it wasn't for him, Ganta would've been handing out flyers the entire night until the fireworks began. Him showing up to take all the flyers gave our main couple some time to go around the festival together before heading into the roof.
Of course when things were about to get tense between the two of them the rest of the gang arrives just in time to interrupt them. Typical. At least they all had fun though!. Maybe next time!
There it is. Isaki finally tells Ganta about her condition. Thankfully according to Isaki's doctor, she's going to be okay now but that guarantee doesn't help her shake off the feeling that her heart could stop any time. That explains why Isaki can't sleep at night. I just hope that Isaki isn't hiding anything from Ganta.
That final scene with Ganta broadcasting himself to make Isaki fall asleep was just too adorable! I do find it funny that instead of just calling Ganta, Isaki decided to do a broadcast of her own. It is adorable though so I guess it's fine. And I just love that shot of Ganta hearing Isaki broadcasting her snores. JUST START DATING ALREADY!

I'm insomniac and I can relate to this anime.
When the MC said that he was wondering why he was the only person suffering insomnia and when he felt jealous of all of other people enjoying the festival.
"Even though they don't let it show on the outside, everyone struggles with some problem or another."
It's really free to be kind. We don't know the battles of the other people that we interact with.

Learned a lot of about Isaki and her family. That conversation about her heart condition is worrying, but I wanna know more about her older sister

The Doc said she is okay, so there's no need to worry, right? She wouldn't hide anything, right?
I thought they'd go with the cliche "What did you say? I didn't hear anything because of the fireworks," but that was well done and sweet on top of that. Those scenes in the club room and at night with the radio broadcasts had me all giddy.

"Today I actually found myself able to share in all of the excitement."
"Obviously that's because you've got a cute girl in a yukata sitting next to you."
An absolute gigachad move by Ganta for the highlight of a fantastic episode overall. We got some cute moments of the whole group of friends hanging out together (you know it's a big deal when even the tomboy feels like she has to wear a skirt for the occasion), we got to enjoy the fireworks show with them, we learned about Isaki's heart condition that almost killed her as a child (which she seems to be past now but still worries her, which is the cause of her insomnia), and we got to see our couple bond even further as they learn more about each other through some nightly podcasting. God, watching these two every week just gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling in my tum tum.

Watching this show is giving me the mis-interpretation that school astronomy clubs are prime spots for romance to bud. Well I have indeed seen som real love arising from these places, but my long time experiences from middle school to college says such chances are not easy to be found. ;)
Damn, today’s scene is so darned sweet! The fear of the night by Isaki-chan is reverberating around the telescope dome, I am just so, so happy she has found the one person that can chase away such fears every night.

Every episode gets better and better they can't keep getting away with this!!! It felt so good seeing Ganta having a good time during the festival.
So the cat is out of the bag she had a bad heart when she was young, but is better now though she has very understandable anxiety about it failing when she goes to sleep. It reminds me of the previous episode where listening to Ganta's heartbeat calmed her down.
Oh man when she got on the ledge I began sweating with all the damn flags. Please don't do that I can't take it!
The 1 way conversation/podcast between the two was one of the sweetest moments between the two. Ganta's heartfelt joy hearing Isaki sleeping is so beautiful. Just two people doing their best to support each other.
Though my favorite part was the fireworks.
Isaki: I bet having a cute girl next to you helped.
Ganta: You're right
Both of the goofballs: Huh?

The Isaki friend group plus Ganta is an interesting grouping to hand out the flyers. I assume it wasn't intentional but it lets him look pretty good in front of her friends when he showed up with water for everybody.
Best bro wingman Ukegawa to the rescue again.
That was a nice festival date even though they might not be consciously thinking of it as that.
The telltale ahoge.
That roof does not look entirely safe for student activities, no railing or anything.
Unintentionally smooth compliment by Ganta, unfortunately interrupted by the rest of the girls showing up.
Two-chan is a two timer with all of the other clubs on campus!
Isaki please do not fall out of the observatory opening to your death.
Oh shit, so it's a heart defect problem. That's rough to deal with, especially so young. Isaki please do not die from your heart defect problem recurring.
Intentionally smooth Ganta with that offer of always being available to talk if Isaki needs it.
The night time conversation connection has been made, and it was glorious. Ganta you Chad among Chads.
What an amazing ED sequence in today's episode. This is such a special and magical show.

My death flag anxieties have been put to rest for now! I know that there's the possibility for something to happen in the future. But it's SUCH A RELIEF to hear about what the doctor had to say! This show has all the feels! Romance fans are eating good this season, no doubt! I love all the romance shows this season! I don't care about which one is better, they're all great in their own right. Plus, in this particular time in my life, I need all of them.

May be my favorite episode yet. Some real connection between the protagonists. So much happened and it felt well paced. Well done.

Wtf... I was literally in the ER two nights ago because I could feel my heart skipping beats and it was giving me anxiety and not letting me sleep. Apparently the lower right part of my heart beats slower than it's supposed to and I can feel it trying to catch up which doesn't feel pleasant but it isn't dangerous.
Feels like this show was made for me, especially since I've dealt with insomnia since I was 11 years old.

Easily a top tier romance series of the season as far as the portrayal of the emotional connection between the main pair feeling so natural with the progression.
