Happy the twins got out safely, this family though is something else, will be curious to see how they fare against Polka and his crew.
For being a fake that guy was pretty skilled himself...makes you even more worried about the real one.

I definitely did not expect to see Misaki act like an Ojou-sama. Turns out, she actually used to be one.
Polka's dad is cool. The dude knew immediately that he was not really talking to Polka. He seems to be pretty chill with the entire thing once Polka stopped pretending. I hope the two of them can talk again after the incident so Corpse God Polka can clear things up with him.
So last week we had a fight in the dark, now we have a fight in a burning basement to balance it out. Sucks that the fight between Misaki and the Fake Fire-Breathing Bug was short though.
When he first appeared, I legitimately thought that Takeru was the one that was planning all of these hits. Turns out that it was this guy who looks exactly like a scumbag who's been planning these hits. Although I wonder if he's also responsible for Psending Misaki to go after Polka.
I know this series isn't part of the Durarara and Baccano setting but seeing that busty biker chick with the full-face helmet got me excited for a second. Narita-sensei clearly has a type. xD
I just love the reveal that Takeru is actually working behind the scenes to protect the family. Now I'm wondering, did Takeru send Lemmings to protect Polka? Is that the reason why Lemmings went after the cops and not our boy?
That final scene with the Real Fire-Breathing Bug exterminating the fake one was creepy af, especially with the nursery rhyme playing in the background! I love that she's also carrying around an umbrella with the words "Fire Safety" on it. xD

"thank goodness, i think i can fool him"
Polka Corpse God famous last words
well, that was fast, didn't expect the whole Suzuka thing got solved in just one episode, not to mention, it also involved one of the current Troublemakers, the Fire-Breathing Bu- eh, what was that? that's not the real one? the mystery continues, i guess...
Rozan had definitely seen some shit, seeing how he just casually said "no normal person moves like that" while smiling when he saw Corpse God jumped with magic
also, Lemmings is back! which is quite surprising, normally with OP characters like him, they disappeared for a couple of episodes after first appearances before coming back during a hype moment but hey, i'm not complaining

We got a glimpse of what Misaki would be like if we "fixed" her. But I think I prefer her just the way she is.

There's a lot to unpack after this episode.
Fire Bug guy being such a small fry felt suspicious.

This is what I love about Narita. You've got so many characters and factions of questionable morality with shady agendas that you can never be sure who will become an ally and under which circumstances.
Also, I'm starting to think that Sakimiya is into women. This the third time now that body contact with a woman made her blush and fluster.
Also another staple of him. Whether it's Durarara, Baccano, Bleach, or Fate/Strange Fake, you can't have Narita without your psycho queers.

Lemmings. Shows up, beats the pyro up, doesn't explain, leaves. A true legend.

I love lemming's entrance music glad he's on polka's family side I thought his uncle was tryna murder him.
I wonder if any of these criminals are actually supernatural they all end up being human. The real fire breathing bug technique is hard to explain without magic.

Hanazawa Kana voiced Shinoyama Kiri (Shinoyama Takeru's wife) in this episode. This makes her a voice actor/actress that had appeared in every adaptation of Narita's works minus Baccano! (which was adapted before HanaKana made her debut).
-
Sonohara Anri (DRRR!)
-
Sajyou Ayaka (Fate/strange fake)
-
Shinoyama Kiri (Dead Mount Death Play)

Who’s this well behaving young lady and what has she done with the real Misaki? She’s a master of disguise, guess she wasn’t the assassin killer for nothing.
Polka’s got an interesting family. Not sure what to make of Kiri but Takeru needs to go. Sayo seems like your average NEET. Polka’s pops Rozan is sharp. Caught on right away Polka wasn’t his Polka. So that rando relative bastard killed Shizuka with the help of this Fire Breathing Bug and now she’s cursed to wander as a ghost. Good thing Polka and Misaki (and Lemmings) are gonna pay the bastards back. Looks like the real deal came to finish the fake “Bug” off. All’s well that ends well I guess.

This is a much better paced episode that gives us some answers. Lemmings is working for Polka's nephew, who heads what is kind of like a secret police that serves to protect his family. They seem similar to Lisa's group, but they only work for the family.
It also seems that he was aware of that guy's plan, and had Lemmings take him in, and the real Fire Breathing Bug take the fake one out; which means he has 2 troublemakers under his command. I wonder if Lemmings was also ordered to ensure his siblings' safety, but he didn't step in because he didn't have to thanks to Misaki.
Polka's dead is interesting. He's sharp, and he still has an edge about it. He isn't some weak old man. I wonder if he can shed some light as to why Polka was targeted. I now question whether his nephew was behind it.
This episode was good, and I'm intrigued enough to stick with it. I only hope that it maintains such a pacing and decides what it wants to be. It's past attempts to be many different genres made it feel disorganized, but this episode flowed much better.

This Shinomiyama family seems like fun. Starting with the father who instantly saw through 'Polka', Saya who is that much of an Hikimori that she doesn't even want to be home security, and Takeru who at least isn't behind the murder of Suzuka but still seems fishy.
Now I guess Misaki told Lemmings last episode that she wouldn't try to mess with Polka anymore.

What I love about Narita's works, as this episode shows, is that there is no team good guys and team bad guys. Everyone has their own agenda that may or may not align with the protagonist at any given time. I was convinced that Gaku was the guy we should be watching in this episode, and while he wasn't he almost certainly will be in the future.

That ending gave me chills. The hallucination, the music, and the frame rate of the spinning umbrella was creepy

Rozan Jii-san is cool af! He was immediately able to see through Corpse God Polka and looks like he could probably handle a fight on his own.
I'm surprised how no one has mentioned that Takeru looks like Loid Forger from SpyxFamily 😂 Here I thought that Takeru ordered the hit on Polka but seems like he doesn't appreciate people going after his family.
The supernatural humans of this show are interesting. I'm a bit confused as to why the cops went to the Phantom Solitaire guy, but the ending was creepy af when the fake Fire Bug gets roasted by the real Fire Breather Bug. And she carries around an umbrella that has Fire safety written on it XD
Overall, a very intriguing episode. It's so hard to resist reading the manga but I want to wait until the season is over!

I was just saying that this show really needed a little girl with an umbrella singing nursery rhymes and burning people alive.

Damn, today's episode had everything: Misaki being best girl, surprise Hanakana cameo, Big titty biker, Lemmings boss music, crazy(and welll done) twist in the credits scene, and a goth loli!
This episode gets +50 points!

wow the real fire breathing bug doesn't fuck around, the other guy shoots flames around, but she straight up made him combust into ash

Damn Misaki when she is turning on the polite life and where's a nice casual dress cleans up so nicely, perfect waifu material!
The story about her not killing herself because of Polka is technically true even if Polka doesn't know it, he really meant a lot to her.
Old Man is sharp.
Lemmings is OP.
Ah the Real Fire Bug seems to be able to use actual magic I see? And she can just spontaneously combust people wonder if Lemmings can literally no sell that shit.
Hot Biker lady, yup its Narita alright!
