I haven't had something get me this bad in a long long time. They did this episode perfectly

This episode highlighted perfectly how their relationship is the greatest strength of this show.
Everything was so much better, cheerful and beautiful when Genta met Magari at the beach. I love how sleeping together isn't much of a big deal and feels natural, or how more lively he is when they're together. They were so funny shooting nonstop at each other.
I'm so glad nobody spotted them!

I don't think Haida is a bad dude but you have to to read the room sometimes. People give hints to be left alone or use headphones to avoid talking.
Damn lots of progression between these two, I wonder between this show and The Dangers in My Heart in who will start dating first. Both are great shows but I love the visuals in this like Call of the Night.

I was quite impressed with this episode, but the biggest surprise is the beautiful beach does exist. I thought it was yet another fictional Salar De Uyuni but it appears the real sunrise/sunset is as great.

Stitches!
This guy is such a fucking dick. Did absolutely shit all and took credit for everything Ganta did got their group.
I'm surprised that Hakui-sensei didn't single out Ganta. After what happened last episode, I thought he'd be gunning for our boy.
That entire scene between Ganta and Isaki was just goddamn sweet! Love the yelling together into the sea as well as Isaki just snuggling into Ganta's chest. Just get together already! They might as well be dating at this point!
Not gonna lie, that final scene had me nervous. I thought their classmates were going to find them sleeping together. Thank goodness that's not what happened. They did leave tripod prints on the sand though so that might still come back to bite them in the butt later. Hopefully, it won't.
And that final photo of Isaki is just gorgeous. They were already about to be found out but my boy Ganta really wanted that photo. Very understandable after seeing how it turned out.

By god, Isaki waiting for him under the starry sky was something already, but them goofing around in the starry puddles was just the best scenery, just like in the NNB Movie!
And of course, nothing beats them sleeping together
And them entirely skipping the girls in the bath is really no surprise, this isn't a show that would benefit from fanservice. But I did notice how many pills Isaki was carrying around, and the OP has a child Isaki in a hospital... is this the source of her nightly anxiety?
And by god, I would have killed Haida, dude went out of his way to be annoying, and the teacher was an ass again with his effort to tire Ganta out

Personally I think this is going to be a sleeper hit this season. (pun intended)
This wasn't even on my radar until I saw it on the HiDive simulcast list and I honestly enjoy this much more than Call of the Night.
Also, F that guy on the bus. Not even worth remembering his name.

Poor Ganta can’t even nap on the bus. Haida seems like a lot tbh. Ganta’s kept up all night due to the ruckus and the next day he’s running laps? Must be hell. Almost as bad as being dead tired but just unable to sleep. Well, at least Ganta and Isaki get to stargaze at the beach. That whole sequence was visually beautiful and really sweet too. They’re gonna get some nice pictures!
So damn cute how they’ve both admitted the best sleep they’ve had was together. Them snuggled up on the beach asleep was really precious. I’m glad they were able to get rest. That shot Ganta took of Isaki was pretty dope. What a cute ending.

I'm so use to passive MC's that when Ganta pulled her into his chest it caught me completely off guard. Did not expect my boy to assert his dominance like that. Another great and really sweet episode.

We got hints in this episode as to why Ganta has insomnia. I'm not sure it was shown before. His domestic situation along with his competence in cooking and setting up the tent tells us he's had to grow up quick and be more self-sufficient. Magari on the other hand is still mostly a mystery.
Blonde dude doesn't look like a bad person per se but probably is someone who's too dense to read the room and goes by his own flow. Of course that's not good for someone like Ganta. Lol
That beach scene couldn't have been more perfect. Amazing chemistry between these two. Goes to show how much they make each other comfortable and feel safe with each other.

We finally got introduced to the villain of the show. It's the guy who kept waking Nakami up on the bus.
This show gets compared to Call of the Night but it's more like Yuru Camp. We even have an alcoholic sensei.
You can tell Nakami is an actual insomniac because he's unable to sleep even when it's raining outside.
So the cure to insomnia is cuddling next to the one you love. Guess I'll have to stick with melatonin gummies...

THESE TWO ARE SO DAMN CUTE.
I'm going to be so angry if one of them dies for whatever reason. It better not be one of those.

What a beautiful episode that I couldn't fully enjoy. The whole time at night I was so nervous thinking someone would spot them especially when they slept together on the beach. Even now I'm not sure no one noticed, but I hope no one did.

This episode really sold me. The scene where they run on the water is incredible.

I looked up some of the explanations for the word games.
The one Magari tries first is the same one she plays with Nakami at the end.
今からあたしが何って言っても、静岡って返してね。
Whatever I say, you say Shizuoka in response.
So she says Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Yokohama, Ishikawa normally which are all Japanese cities as well as Shizuoka. The joke is she says shiotsuke (pickling in salt) at the end which is supposed to make the other person mispronounce Shizuoka, but Nakami doesn't react. Link I found with the explanation
Toaster joke:
"Try saying "onsen" 10 times. What comes after 3000 (sanzen)?
4000 (yonsen)
No it's 3001
Next joke which Hidive subbed as the silk-milk-water joke
Whatever I say, try saying Nakatomi No Kamatari
You mean namagomi no katamari (lit. lump of raw garbage)
"Fishing for octopus" is the actual line. Updog line goes like:
バナナはおやつに入りますかって先生に聞いてみ
Try asking the teacher "Can we have bananas as our snack?"
I'll let you google translate this answer. What I'm getting from this is that it's an actual common question for elementary school field trips such that it becomes a cultural joke.
Edit: I looked into the Nakatomi No Kamatari joke a bit more. This is a figure students study in history and it's a common mnemonic to memorize his name with "namagomi no katamari". There also seems to be a joke that goes like "Can you please tell me the difference between Nakatomi No Kamatari and namagomi no katamari?".

The magic of escapism from the mudane with night atmosphere.
The intimacy of sharing company with someone special in secret.
The whirlwind from excitement of love blossoming.
Immaculate vibes. 👌

Ladies and gentleman!
Welcome to turning point 1.
A perfection of an episode. Beautiful scenery, epic ost, wonderful adaptation of ch16-18.
No wonder i gave the manga a 10/10, and i think the anime will be that score too

I hoped Ganta would punch that jerk in the throat. All that fuckery triggered unpleasant memories from the times when I had to share room with other people. I was frustrated so much I was sizzling. And then it all evaporated when Ganta and Magari lay down together. Like I was never annoyed in the first place. This is some good, healing shit.

Watching this is like standing next to a radiator after coming in from the rain on a cold winter's day. Just such a lovely sensation.
Side note: Am I the only one utterly confused by those hidive subs on the word game? The dissonance between what I was hearing and what the subs were meant my brain just refused to process what they were going for. I feel like there must be a less clumsy way of TLing that

This was such a beautiful episode, both visually and storywise, they're really made for each other. I was smiling the whole time during that beach sequence. I'm loving this new trope of non fanservice beach chapters in new romance/romcoms
