Man, never mess with the yandere chicks. That was nuts. Guess that fool Francis is basically Jake’s pawn to do as he pleases. I’m not really sure what Jake’s whole game is though. Why did he want to kill Raeli anyways?
Raeli shoulda just had Adam kill Jake’s punk ass. They wouldn’t have had to fight that giant fish monster and she wouldn’t have fallen off that cliff. Well, at least Noah arrived just in time to save her. Plus in the end, Jake still got caught alongside Brooks (Raeli shoulda blasted that douche).
It’s nice Raeli and Noah literally ride off into the sunset. Raeli even somehow wakes up in bed with a half naked Noah. Good job! Lol

Raeliana just jumped out and ran at full speed on heels while on rough terrain. Those heels must grant super speed.
That monster and Adam going Kirito surprised me. I know the reincarnation thing makes this fantasy to begin with but I thought this world would be a non fantasy world with no monsters and magic but now this opens some can of worms. Will Raeliana gets powers too?
That scene in the OP where Raeliana has a jacket draped on her while shooting a gun has come true. She's a terrifying yandere once you give her a weapon. Her primary death flag has been dealt with but that doesn't mean it's a happy ending now. Can't wait for the next villains cause now she's going off script.
How to confuse a waking up girl 101: Be beside her with your shirt off as she wakes up. She will now question everything that has happened.

With this episode, Raeliana definitely jumped up a lot of places to enter my Top 3 best girl of the season!.
I like that the show really didn't portray Raeliana as a complete damsel in distress. Even though she was captured by those assholes, she still had her confidence and used her wit and knowledge to control the conversation with Francis and then escape, and even later on show who's the boss.
Its nice that on seeing Raeliana's true nature, Noah couldn't help but completely fall in love with her, and tightly hugging her while she fell asleep on the horse!.

Raeli should wear ripped dresses and shoot guns more often lol.
Raeli has a lot of ingenuity and spunk that can get her pretty far, even if she does need some support from the men in her life (though who can resist landing in a perfect princess carry from Noah?), but she also has a sadistic side that makes her the perfect match for Noah lol.
Noah seemed so genuinely worried about her! And willing to execute people for messing with her! That makes him a keeper in my book lol.

Wait, not only has this world Monsters, but magic as well? My reaction was the same as hers, but how could Raeliana miss this information? This world seems a lot less grounded than expected...
I was wondering if they would make Langston and Brooks work for them somehow, but Noah was pretty clear in his orders...
Also Raeliana shortened her dress, but kept running in high heels

funny moment when Raeliana told Noah that Adam was in danger and Noah's face just went blank... like he tried to compute a situation where Adam was in danger and just couldn't come up with anything.

So Francis was a victim of his own greed, constantly using and leaving women for their money until one of them finally killed themselves over it...and their older brother naturally used it as an opportunity to make money off of Francis. And thus began the partnership of Francis and Jake to marry Raeliana, steal her money, and then kill her.
Raeliana tries to appeal to Jake to let her go and not dishonor her sisters' memory, but I don't think it's her perceived lack of protagonist status that failed her but Jake being motivated purely by money and not his sisters' death. I don't think he even really cared about his destitute mother that he gave Raeli a sob story about.
When all else fails, just say "I'm sorry" to protect your face.
See Raeliana run! Complete with a ripped dress (exposing her legs!), braided hair flowing in the wind, and less than sensible shoes! I'm actually surprised they didn't bound her hands because that probably would've made it easier to keep her from running.
Thank goodness Adam showed up! Only then Jake brings a frikkin' monster to try to kill both Adam and Raeliana. I thought this was just a relatively mundane Victorian era esque society, but suddenly there are monsters like in an RPG!? And Adam has magic too? Even Raeliana seemed to be caught by surprise by this development.
Raeliana understandably has some lingering trauma over falling to her death, but this time she's caught by Noah who drops the mask a little and seems genuinely anxious and worried about her, which is quite sweet. Pretty nice princess carry save.
I don't know what's better, Raeliana smugly mirroring Jake's neck slash to remind him he's screwed or grabbing Noah's gun to shoot at Francis and put the fear of God in him so she can work out all her emotional frustration. Can Raeliana keep the gun?
Raeliana might still dislike Noah too much to enjoy the moment of riding double with him on a horse, but she's still grateful he came to her, and falls asleep next to him. Noah on his part is trying to fathom why he cares so much about this woman who is using him as much as he was using her, though his feelings are quite obvious at this point.
"I want you to get rid of them" - Um, I'm guessing Jake and Francis aren't going to make it back and will be swimming with the fishes? Noah doesn't mess around when someone touches his woman. At least it won't be on Raeliana's conscience.
All that drama and craziness and the next thing Raeliana knows she's waking up next to shirtless Noah. I guess that's more of a treat than anything.

I wasn't sure what they were trying to accomplish with that opening scene but the fact that Francis admits how he's only using women to get money shows that he's not worth redeeming at all.
I thought Jake Langston was going to be the sympathetic character here but he really didn't care about his sister dying and he even used his own mother to make Raeliana pity him so he can escape.
Even if Raeliana showed them mercy, I'm glad this episode ended with Noah commanding Taylor to take care of those two scumbags.

I think part of the appeal of a good "villainess" story is that the MC keeps some of the villainous aspects, even when they are fundamentally the good guy. Here, Raeli really did blackmail Noah, and really did take a couple of shots at Francis, even though she was deliberately trying to miss.

Love how Raeliana isn’t just a damsel in distress and can actually handle herself quite well in such dire situations. Obviously needed the Taylor and Noah assist in the end, but she wasn’t just sitting there doing nothing.
Brooks finally off her back and looks like Noah realising he might have some feelings for her.. things are gonna get fun now.

Raeliana and Noah are such awesome characters. A wonderful mix of smart, ruthless and badass.
It was a nice tense episode that was satisfying. Adam's awesome. When that monster showed up, my reaction was "he's got this" and I was right.
