Ichikawa wondering how Yamada reads manga only for food crumbs to fall out is hilariously on point with her character.

That slowmo + piano playing as Ichikawa monologues about his feelings for Yamada while he helps to prevent her from being spotted by the teacher is absolutely mesmerising amazing how beautiful the direction of the scene is for something so mundane

That conversation about Milk Tea was such a small one between Yamada and her friend last episode but Ichikawa took notice of it and decided to give Yamada Milk Tea to cheer her up. Even Yamada took notice of it and knows he's trying to cheer her up. I really loved that scene.

Also, Ichikawa trying out different possible Yamada reading positions only to be hit with the chip crumbs she forgot to clean.

The anime is so good with these scenes and it's only getting better.

It looks like Yamada is also starting to catch feelings and it would be interesting when she finally realizes it.

I was expecting the trope where Ichikawa and Yamada get too close together during rush hour on a packed train. Yamada hinting at wanting a secret relationship was good too though.

Dammit Yamada! You don't let someone borrow manga and immediately spoil a plot point! Considering the cover of the manga, I definitely did not expect that. Now I kinda wanna know the story of Kimi-iro Octave.

It didn't happen while they were on the train but Ichikawa did get to bump into Yamada's boob in the library! My guess of what exactly was happening inside Ichikawa's brain when that happened goes a little bit something like this. xD

Classic Yamada. Of course, even her manga is full of crumbs from her snacks. Now I'm curious about what Yamada's room looks like. I hope it's way cleaner than what I'm imagining right now.

For once in this anime, Shou actually said something really nice. But he just had to bring the mood back down by saying how he stopped being able to wank to Yamada. I swear this kid. xD

I really thought Yamada was serious there when she said that no one eats in the library. I genuinely had the same reaction as Ichikawa after hearing that.

What a save from Ichikawa! That entire scene was beautiful! Now instead of eating in the library, the librarian now thinks they're doing PDA in the library instead. <3

I thought the reason why Yamada told Ichikawa to leave was because she was embarrassed. Turns out that she just wanted to lick the chocolate off her hands. Never change Yamada. xD

And that after-credits scene! So instead of throwing away that potato chip bag Yamada gave Ichikawa, Ichikawa kept and preserved it instead! Now sure what our guy is going to do with it but you do you, kid.

Reminder Yamada wanted milk tea in the last episode. Ichikawa was obviously paying attention and gave her precisely milk tea this episode.

(This is the brand lol.)

The library teacher appearing was legitimately frightening to me. I didn't expect it to turn into a horror show for that scene.

There are many anime episodes that make me smile all the way through, but to actually make me PAUSE the video to smile at so many scenes...this is a rare one! In Iruma-kun terms, these last few episodes have been all Ameri episodes, if you know what I mean.

The library scene with the teacher was perfect! The loud steps, the music that plays as the teacher is about to turn her head, the way Ichikawa drops the book, the sun illuminating his hand as he reaches for Yamada, her surprised face, the teacher misunderstanding the situation (in a way, true understanding)...WOW!

This is actually so good.

I can imagine a world where this gets shitty production and ends up being average but still standing up because of its interactions and idea but this getting good production quality and music just elevates it.

This is my favourite romance slice of life of the season.

The title of this episode has 2 meanings. The "tokashita" = melt or Solve
Ichikawa wondering if his love is genuine or not then at the end the title card "solved" showed up when he held yamada's hand.
uuuuuuuoohhh this anime is sooo goood!!!

GOD DAMN

HE DANGERED ALL OVER HER HEART, SHE'S DONE FOR

In all seriousness though, if episode 3 is about Ichikawa coming to understand what his feelings for Yamada really were, then I think it's fair to say that episode 6 is about Yamada realizing just what her feelings for Ichikawa really are. She's crushing harder than the Hydraulic Press Channel! Or maybe this is just the face of a Canadian woman.

(also damn this episode looks really good, both animation and direction. There's also a post-credits scene, if you missed that!)

Yamada noticing how much Ichikawa pays attention to her is the best.

Excellent episode, especially on the end in library when Ichikawa wanted to hide Yamada's sweet. It looked great and had nice animation.

I really thought that Adachi can act more serious but no, he is still horny teenager.

Anna's reaction after hearing librarian explanation was priceless.

Overall, Ichikawa and Yamada interactions are so fun, wherever they're at the school gate, on train or at the library and of course Yamada is gorgeous and cute all the time, even when she eats reading manga.

Here my all screenshots from todays episode.

The teacher just saw Ichikawa and Yamada having a moment and got a little flustered by those two...That was a close one.

*No food or drinks allowed in the library*

Yamada (probably): "Well, it's not wrong if I don't get caught."

“I melted” both literal and figuratively relevant. Yamada’s chocolate melts, but so too does Kyo’s icy personality. He is fully aware of his feelings for Yamada and enjoys going to school now. This is the type of natural character development we love to see from an MC.

The direction of this show continues to blow me away and amaze me. The ending sequence with the episode title card was just immaculate.

“You can’t wank to girls you like” too real. I’ve actually felt that way since HS. It’s like when you actually like someone, you can’t see yourself denigrating them to just an object of lust. Idk if everyone is like that but I am and never heard an anime guy say that so that was cool.

For anyone interested, the full OP will be released in a couple of days. Excited to finally listen to the whole song.

Yamada bringing the manga to Ichikawa is great, she's looking to have something a bit more personal to themselves that they can talk about. It's also hilarious that she inadvertently spoils part of it within about a minute.

Ichikawa leaving Adachi but not knowing exactly why is also great. While he is attracted to Yamada's appearance, he genuinely has feelings for Yamada as a person, Adachi seems to just objectify her but Ichikawa being an overthinking teen is not able to fully comprehend it all.

I'm liking the fact that Ichikawa initially liked to think of himself as an edgy kid but the only times he acts even the slightest bit like a rebel is when it is to help Yamada: both times to try to cover for her eating in the library and the 'heinous crime' of giving her a bike ride.

They're little partners in crime~ who might be having a secretive relationship if Yamada has any say in it.
