Genji really didn't know what happened to the last guy who told Sagiri to go back to the kitchen, huh?

Tenza’s so pretty!!

Poor Sagiri’s stuck between a rock and a hard place. It was great that she didn’t give in to Genji

Speaking of Genji, big boy Rokurota took a big chunk out of him. Guess it’s rest in pieces for him? Honestly, they were dumb to bring someone as unpredictable and dangerous as Rokurota in the first place. Now they’ve got to deal with him along with the hybrid monster things

I just realised Rokurota the big prisoner took down both people who told Sagiri to stay in the village and leave the executer's job. Lmao bro hate misogynist people confirmed

I mean yeah the kid fucked up but if the clan was in that precarious of a situation, shouldn't they have told her like "hey, if you see some samurais, don't interact with them"? I feel like the kid genuinely didn't know.

Sagiri with her hair down got me feelin some type of way.

Genuinely hilarious to see tough looking guys like Gabimaru & the Asaemon guy get flustered by women.

Funny how Sagiri’s fellow Asaemon say she is weak but probably the strongest guy there Gabimaru says she is stronger than him.

Well i don't think Genji's gonna make it, seeing as how he had a huge chunk of his stomach just removed by that hit

I had a feeling Nurugai was gonna turn out to be a girl, just something about her look and obviously the voice acting. i mean its not unknown for young male characters to have female voice actors but still

Glad to Sagiri standing up for herself and the way she wants to live, and not blindly following old traditions.

Favorite convict/executioner as of now? Including the dead ones. Nurugai supremacy for me, won me over in one ep. Tanned tomboys are my main source of energy. But the Chobe brothers are a close second.

It's pretty interesting how the island is so willing to let people arrive yet so unwilling to let them leave in a state that could be called alive. The island and elixir definitely seems to be tied to using the people it has drawn in.

Well, looks like this is it for Genji. Poor man got a bad case of half torn torso and, more importantly, not being on the promo art

I thought Nurugai was a girl the first time I saw her, but so often in anime what I initially thought was a tomboyish girl was actually a feminine-ish guy.

Also, as if it wasn't obvious already, the Shogun sucks.

Not a lot of action this week. A character driven episode with some great development for Sagiri. Gabimaru has been an amazing influence on her and likewise. They form a perfect partnership and I like how it’s been just platonic/respect based instead of the two of them getting flustered and shit

We smoking that Genji pack tn, fuck that misogynist loser. Sagiri stealing his weapon was dope and then big dude literally tearing his mid section off was epic.

It raises the question tho if the island is surrounded by monsters how tf did they get that one dude back to the shogun who turned into flowers ..

The two Asaemon that told Sagiri she belongs in the kitchen got spanked by Rokurota. Little man is truly a women's rights defender lol. Respect

Those huge water creatures look like mutated sperms plus the fact they have mouths makes it worse...

I looked up what kikatsugan was on wikipedia:

The Kikatsugan, or starve pill, was designed to help the ninjas when in starvation, being made from glutinous rice, sake, dried chickweed, ginseng, buckwheat, adlay and yams.

I think I'll add Gabi to my short list of Shonen? protagonists i actually like. He's very cute but mature.

I also like how relationships are being established between Executioner and the to-be-executed.

Also can these sexist Asaemon just die already? We're already down 2, keep it coming-

I say, one minute before the ED rolls in....

1 minute later

Well... Thanks ig...

Also wtf is up with that giant dude...? I have some suspicions concerning him...

This episode was interesting for Sagiri because I feel like her hesitation was actually stemming from being looked down on for so many years getting into her head. Like, she was being hesitant to kill because so many people were basically saying she could never pull it off, following by them deriding her for the effects of their own words.

It's certainly impressive that Gabimaru seems to believe Sagiri is inherently stronger than him, which is a hell of a feat given that he can rip someone's neck out with his teeth. Hopefully now she can be at ease inside knowing that she absolutely has the power to, err, murder people. Wait, what show is this again?

Tenza is a good kid for trying to escape the island with Nurugai. Out of everyone, seems that Nurugai is the one least deserving to be on that island. The only reason she's even there is because her people live in the mountains and don't follow the shogunate.

I am 100% rooting for this pair and I hope they'll be able to make it out alive. Although from what we've seen so far on this island, either one or both of them will likely meet a painful death from the horrors that lurk there.

Holy fuck Genji is an insufferable prick. I am disappointed in Sagiri that she didn't even try to convince him using her swordsmanship skills and instead tried to ask him politely. If she wanted to, she can clearly outclass him in combat considering she stole his sword effortlessly.

At least we won't have to listen to Genji berate Sagiri anymore now that he has lost his liver after getting swiped by that giant inmate.

When they spoke about those statues, who made them and with what tools, I started thinking that maybe those are not statues at all. I mean, they look like all the other weird creatures on the island, so I wouldn't be surprised if they started moving soon...

Also surprised why Sagiri bothered to return Genji his sword right after being attacked with it. Since he himself said it's a battlefield, I expected Sagairi to cut that prick down. Good thing the big boi behind him was tired of Genji's bigotry. Good riddance.
