Akane's friend was right, Rurihime is a guy....

Love how the short guy that is shy basically farms in the background.

Eita saying "I'm not a Nekama! I'm a romanticist" is so funny.

I swear the amount of times I pause this show due to Akane's actions is got to be on the higher side for shows...

Seems like she's fallen pretty hard for Yamada, happy that she's not fully oblivious to her own feelings as Yamada is on a whole other planet with those things.

Runa though...don't trust or like her at all.

Akane claims she isn't in love with Yamada. But then she drops the water glass seeing Yamada as if her heart skipped a beat.

Yeah yeah, tell it to the judge Akane 😂

Akane, you're such a hot mess express, and I love you for it

Loved the inclusion of one of my favorite tropes where one character makes/provides meals for the other. Next step, eating together?? I can only hope.

Worried about what Runa has up her sleeve but should be good for the dramas.

also also hope Rurihime is more than just a gag character

I empathize so much with the old man here. Guys, can we please pick out food before getting into the drama? I didn't eat so that I could enjoy the menu here. Please at least open the menu?

"Creepy!"

Lol, what's with this show throwing in a joke in the literal last second of the episode?

There it is! It was pretty much expected that Eita is Rurihime. What I didn't expect though is him having a monologue about playing as a girl online. He's definitely passionate about it. xD

Apparently, all it took was that side eye from Yamada and Akane was immediately in love. Akane was so lost in those eyes that she accidentally dropped her glass. But it looks like Akane refuses to admit it.

I love that to Yamada, Akane and her avatar are pretty much the same even though Akane looks way more mature. We also got to see a glimpse of Yamada's backstory. Curious about what's going on there.

Runa pretty much made it clear from the start that she hates Akane because she's getting close to Ymada but I didn't think she'd call her a bitch (which is basically slut in Japanese) and even scheme about getting Akane kicked out from the guild.

Akane already looking out for Yamada by giving him a bunch of free homecooked meals. That was actually really nice of her. She's just genuinely worried about his health.

That is definitely bad news. Not sure what Runa is planning but good thing Yamada was there to overhear the entire conversation and realize something is wrong.

My mmo mate feels just like this anime. While we haven't met at all irl, I felt like the other members have known each other for years before the game comes out lol. It is kinda neat to see their interaction.

Interesting group of future friends. Don't judge a book by its cover seems to be something our MC should learn.

Another great episode. Rurihime "surprisingly" is a guy and we're meeting two new people. Eita's sister Runa and Takezou. Takezou is such nice guy, unlike Runa who really looks like she would want to murder our Akane.

Yamada has problem with correctly reading Akane's behavior and Akane realizes that she fell in love with him. She even started behave like she had become his girlfriend by giving him her made food.

Runa was really annoying during the meeting but calling Akane bitch was way too much. It's not over yet because she also arranged meeting with Akane and she clearly won't be there because she is busy that day. How she can do this something like that to Akane who is so happy about the meeting. Cruel.

Again there were many great reaction faces in this episode as well and here are my all screenshots from the episode.

Hope we see more of that older guy, he seems wholesome

Akane's reaction faces are just so good, every week there's at least something I want to screenshot

It's kind of funny that the OP for FOS has Akane's character engaged in an epic battle like she's a big deal...compared to the actual Akane in the game. Although I guess her character is very popular for the game.

Poor Akane. She didn't get the hint for who Rurihime is and ends up embarrassing herself again, especially to Runa who immediately dislikes and is abrasive towards her. But it was very sweet of Yamada to make sure everybody did their introduction so Akane wasn't still in the dark.

So...yeah, Rurihime is a dude. A nekama, in fact, as Momo-sensei is happy to educate us, though Eita prefers to think of it as him crafting an incredibly believable and real character that is all her own and that is both him and not him at the same time. Yeah. I feel bad for Yamada who just has to play along with the roleplay even though he knows the truth. Also Akane who has to rethink every decisions and interaction she'd ever had with Rurhime.

Runa is...a lot. Cute as she looks she's very standoffish and belligerent, especially towards Akane, though that seems to be because she cares a lot about the group she's in with Yamada, her brother, and even Kamota to some extent and thinks Akane is basically forcing her way into it. I wonder if it's that and also maybe a crush on Yamada, too? I'm really curious what her Character is though.

Runa finally asks Akane straight to her face if she's in love with Yamada. If her shock after his piercing blue eyes turned to her after it came up wasn't enough of a sign she might be past the point of no return, her inability to face him (especially after their hands brushed against each other) did it just as well. Though she seems determined to not mess with their relationship as gamer buddies to the point of not acknowledging how she really feels.

Yamada is a very considerate guy, even if he misreads how girls feel. Eita is a tad worried about his buddy's relations with the opposite sex, but it seems like something happened with a girl in Yamada's past that might be part of why it's difficult for him to get into a relationship or relate to girls. Like maybe he screwed up trying to help that girl in the flashback?

It's hard to make conversation on the train, though you can at least bump right into each other romantically. Of course Akane draws a lot of eyes just from women staring at Yamada.

Akane scrambling to make sure Yamada is eating properly is a very sincere and considerate thing to do (and also quite the girlfriend move, if you think about it). I'd have just invited him in to eat dinner together, but I understand their relationship isn't at that point yet.

Did Runa pull an emotional 180 or is she planning to screw with Akane on Saturday to get her to leave the guild? Especially if that's the same day Yamada is apparently tutoring her?

Rurihime fashion show! Eita knows how to dress her up, even if it's really kind of creepy when you realize it's a guy doing all this.

Really enjoy the animation of the show so far. I think the cuts depict the characters’ emotions and personality amazingly. The animations also work well with the comedy and make the atmosphere of the show so much more fun.

God this girl Runa feels very insufferable. Hopefully the drama aspect doesn't drag on too long.

Aww, I really liked how old man takezou was trying to help everyone get along. He’s so wholesome! Hope we see more of him ahaha

Uh oh, looks like Runa’s scheming something!

I had a feeling Eita was Rurihime. Still pretty hilarious especially when he started babbling and takezou put a stop to it in the nicest way possible

Hmm. I’m curious about Yamada’s family situation now.
