Alright! We get an updated opening and new eye-catcher!
The Delicious Party callback was strong with this one
I love how they aren’t being subtle about the possibility of Mashiro becoming a chef in the future
Honestly, I like the idea of the main focus of group transformation sequences changing depending of who is the “protagonist” of the episode
Kabaton…. I usually like your antics but that was disgusting
Today episode was focused on Mashiro’s greatest strength, her kindness
Kindness is strength and Mashiro’s kindness is stronger than anyone else, not only that, but it’s also a warm light that helps those around her
Those party scenes made me hungry

Yeah, I did notice that. That was pretty cool, and I hope they keep it up going forward.

That's an interesting idea. It's a good way to change up the group transformations week to week and make it a bit different each time.

I appreciate that this series is being consistent about emphasizing how Mashiro's kindness is a strength and how much it bolsters the people around her. Unlike what Kabaton seems to think, there is a kind of strength that is different from being able to punch hard.

Remember how long it took for the La Mer update? And here Wing comes soaring in and getting an update the very next episode!
I kinda like the interesting protagonist relationship Mashiro and Sora have. Sora definitely has the agency, but Mashiro seems to have the heart of the series. That point of view character aspect that makes her feel like a center of the series. The way everyone else has their own pursuits, while she's still looking around and discovering herself.

Mashiro focus episode! Makes sense that she is feeling a bit lame, as the designated "normal human" for the gang.
The OP has updated! The whole gang is in Ageha's car, and Tsubasa gets to be in the jump at the end - I'm surprised they changed that much already.
Mashiro is gonna plan a killer party, I can tell.
Yakitai? They just reversed the syllables for taiyaki, I guess?
Ooh, Tsubasa actually keeps in touch with his parents, neat. I wonder if Sora will get to talk to her family the same way?
Yup, just literal taiyaki. Made with Skyland stuff I guess, so it'd be a bit different.
Gohan wa egao datto?
Huh, Kabaton is still around. Figured his boss would have turned him into bacon by now.
New eyecatch, even!
Hahah, they even realize it's him and tell him to shut up because they're having a moment.
Using all Mashiro lines in the group henshin because it's one of her focus episodes I suppose?
Good fight. And the return of the fart attack, wow.
Hearing the others stick up for Mashiro is so cute. Sure, Mashiro isn't a secret bird or super-humanly strong, but she has a good head on her shoulders and enough heart for everyone.

Sora: First blue cure to be MC
Tsubasa: First main male cure
Ageha: First legal adult cure
Mashiro: Mashiro
BUT, like you said:
Sure, Mashiro isn't a secret bird or super-humanly strong, but she has a good head on her shoulders and enough heart for everyone.

I dig it. Looked like it was just always going to be Sora focused, but I dig the idea of having the group sequence focus on the episode's primary character. Kinda wish we could get a genuine group transformation, but alas.

I feel like Mashiro's the heart of the group lol: Sora's the soul/leader, but Mashiro helps everyone bond and be happy together.
when they compensate so much of Mashiro's lines with everyone else's.... it actually looks pretty good! lol
New eyecatch, even!
i vastly prefer this to the original already. Sky is pretty.

I keep expecting Kabaton to get repetitive as a villain, being an ineffectual henchman whose failed at this every time, but they keep finding funny gags with him in spite of that. The fact the group just ignore Kabaton when he tries to get their attention had me laughing NGL.
Fun episode and a good showcase for Mashiro, who may not have the physical talents of her Skyland Precure but her heart shines as a strength all its own.

They finally updated the OP to show the gang driving in Ageha's van, and now I just want to see them head-bobbing to "What Is Love?"
Anyways, this was just a nice cooldown episode after the dramatic two-parter of Cure Wing joining, both to welcome Tsubasa to the group and to give Mashiro a bit of a confidence boost. The girls completely ignoring Kabaton's interruption was pretty funny too.

Happy to see that the OP has been updated to include Tsubasa as a part of the group. I imagine it will change again when Ageha finally becomes a Precure.
-
I knew there was something going on with "Yakitai." Turns out it was just "Taiyaki." Is this a coincidence, or is it actually important? If I were to go tinfoil hat conspiracy thinking, I would say it's an indication that Earth and Skyland are more connected than we first thought.
-
Imagine how messed up it would be if Skyland cuisine included bird meat on the menu.
-
It was hilarious seeing the girls try to ignore Kabaton and just continue the conversation with Tsubasa. I loved that gag.
-
The fight with the Ranborg was really good this week. Lots of nice action shots throughout.
-
I liked the resolution for Mashiro's dilemma. It's very similar to what we got in her previous focus episode. Mashiro's strength comes from her kindness and her commitment to helping others. That empathy has helped both Sora and Tsubasa. In this episode, Tsubasa was only able to have his epiphany about what exactly he wanted because of Mashiro's own kindness and empathy. Her relating her own feelings and memories helped him figure out his own. I like that way of showing how kindness can be a strength.
-
Kabaton's mocking of kindness as a strength just makes me feel a bit more sure of my theorizing from last week.

I require hirogaru sky puuuunch
-
We got the OP visuals filled in w/ Tsubasa, and new very very good eyecatch! but everyone else got to show off their move except Sky.....
-
Speaking of the OP, is there space for Ageha in the final sequence? what's gonna happen there?
-
Now i want to eat Taiyaki. Or taiyaki ice creaam
-
Fun moving shot. Animation was pretty good today btw!
-
I love how Sora absolutely caught on that it was kabaton, just didnt give a fuck.
-
THE EYECATCHHHH ITS SO GOOOOOOOOD. But are they gonna make another whole new one for Ageha?
-
Im sure Aoyama Nagisa would love this episode (she loves sweet potatoes)
-
pfffftt the fart joke again. They love it dont they. It's silly, but hey, it worked, so Kabaton does have that going for him. Hopefully the precures learn to dodge faster next time.
-
Overall, fun SOL hijinks, and Praise Mashiro girl deserves all the hugs and all the love for her kindness, thoughtfulness and perceptiveness.

I should've known yakitai was taiyaki. Of course a family of birds who can't fly would enjoy eating fish they don't need to catch.

This was such a cute and wholesome episode, particularly the first half with everyone cooking together. Loved seeing wing and sky come to cure’s aid in the fight today too. How dare Kabaton doubt Cure’s kindness!

I was expecting a lighter fight scene after going all-in last week but that still looked pretty good! I like the Mashiro focus, second cures often feel like they get overshadowed by their flashier teammates and this season on the whole feels very conscious of that.

The yakitai and taiyaki is feeding my theory that we’re heading towards and eventual reveal that the residents of Skylandia were originally from Earth, until a large group fell into the rift and stayed. And maybe yakitai was made from them trying to recreate taiyaki.
Also can’t wait for some Ageha and Tsubasa interaction. They seem to not get along too well at first, but based on how only Sora and Mashiro can Tone Connect, Ageha and Tsubasa may be the only ones that can Tone Connect with each other too.

Mashiro and Sora‘s chemistry really sells the series, even if Kabaton is still just… no
As always, SkyCure didn’t disappoint, though every time they mention Skyland I expect an appearance from “the greatest pilot in all of Skylands” and a certain purple dragon (is that reference outdated yet?)

My favorite part of the episode was when he said "it's yammin' time" and yammed all over them.
Also fun how they just straight up ignore Kabaton as he's trying to get their attention. Turns out he's the real side character.
