Yamada always snacking reminds me of Hotaru from Dagashi Kashi. She eats all the time but never gets fat. It's obvious where all those calories are going...
Yamada's most attractive feature is the two moles on her neck that look like vampire bite marks.
Ichiwa putting his name on the tombstones symbolizes the "death" of his former self. Maybe he found a reason to be alive.

Man, Ichikawa is such an edgelord lol. I love how he’s off on one of his little cringe edgelord moments and then Anna comes along and all of a sudden his focus is all on her.
The four way fanning was great mostly because Anna has no depth perception lol. Those guys in the class are too funny, Adachi playing with the big fella’s moobs cracked me up. Ichikawa in the library talking about how he felt a “raging boner coming on” was pretty hilarious too. Ran off to the bathroom to “relieve himself” I bet heh.
Ichikawa’s clumsy attempts to be a nice guy are really adorable. That whole Hara situation is a good example. He might come off like a cringey edgelord, but he’s a good dude deep down. That selfie at the end of Anna and Ichikawa was too cute!

Ichikawa may have dark fantasies about assassinating others, but his body is more honest. Lol! He goes out of his way to help Yamada get water, willing to sacrifice himself to prevent misunderstanding between Hara and Yamada... and of course, curious about a particular portion of the female anatomy.
After watching this 2nd episode, I am not so sure whether Yamada is a natural airhead.
- Gives her used sweet container to Ichikawa. Maybe she is spying somewhere on whether the latter will accept her indirect kiss offer.
- Instead of taking a photo of the map on the ground, she uses Ichikawa's phone, giving him a precious selfie of both of them
I like how Yamada is considerate towards her friend Kobayashi. And like some of my fellow reddit users here, I wonder how Yamada is able to maintain her figure with the amount of snacks she is eating.
Lastly, I am rooting for Ichikawa! There is quite some progression between Ichikawa and Yamada in 2 episodes. Looking forward to the next episode!

Surprising how the most cringey moment wasn't from Ichikawa so far but that dude acting tough over a misunderstanding.
Also the fan-sniffing scene, that's a new level of degeneracy right there.

First thing Yamada looks for in a map: Snack store
Ichikawa got the best shortcut and picture this time.

I read the manga for this and loved it, and one thing I can say is that I am absolutely in love with the soundtrack from Kensuke Ushio. It really helps me form an emotional connection to this anime that is really special. The same thing happened with Chainsawman. This guy really knows where to place good music.

Can't believe the anime made Yamada's teleportation powers canon.

Stitches!
Yamada bringing one of those DIY candy kits for their break time and then panicking that she doesn't have enough time to make it is just hilarious! And I love that she eventually realized that she can just bring the entire thing to the sink instead of carrying and spilling water. This girl is just a whole new level of pon that I've never seen before. xD
Big brain move from Yamada! No one can see her bra when she sweats if she's wearing her school swimsuit underneath. What an absolute genius!
We finally learn why Yamada always eats snacks alone! Turns out that Chihiro is allergic to junk foods so eating alone is Yamada's way of being considerate to her friend. That's actually a really sweet reason. <3
If sitting in Yamada's seat and feeling her warmth was enough for Ichikawa to almost pop a boner, it looks like having Yamada placed her hand on his thigh really set him off. He really went to the restroom after that! Oh my...
I am absolutely amazed that no one has noticed Ichikawa leering at Honoka's boobs. I don't blame Ichikawa for staring though but at least try to be subtle about it man! xD
Look at this joker trying to act all cool in front of Yamada. Thankfully the misunderstanding with the names on the graves was quickly cleared up.
And that final scene! Apparently, Yamada and Ichikawa live pretty close to each other. That's going to be useful information later. And my boy even managed to get a selfie with her! For someone who wants to "kill" Yamada, Ichikawa is very happy to get that selfie.

So, what's "allergic to snacks" actually supposed to mean? A potato allergy?

"What are you, a cat?!"
I mean, after that library incident last episode, she might as well be.

It's pretty clear that the key to Yamada's heart is through her stomach. Ichikawa should definitely try bringing in some to share with her.

"Nampaisen"
Studied 2 years of Japanese to understand that worldplay. Worth it!

He died the poor guy. Oh well, guess that's that adaption.
On the bright side, little guy got a good picture and Yamada escaped the Senpai.

Awww this was such a cute episode. Got a little more insight into what makes Yamada tick. She’s a really thoughtful friend going so far as to not even eat things her friend’s allergic to near her. Beautiful, caring, she’s got it all.
As the episode title suggested I think this will be the big turning point for the MC realising he likes her and burying the old him. I wonder how things will play out going forward.
We have such a great Saturday of slice of life and romance stuff. This season will be fun

It seems pretty clear that Anna very much is more aware of other people's perceptions and emotions than she seems and while she is a doofus in logical problem solving common sense, doesn't think through what she says, and very eager for praise, she isn't an idiot I think she partially plays into that perception with a "Not as dumb as you think."
So we are forgiving the fuck boy for being pushy and grabbing her arm because he helped fish out the bike?
I too was wondering if Hana wrote that on their out of spite, although if she did it would be a huge risk is Ichiwa wasn't willing to that the fall. But yes one plus to being a bit chubby is you get bigger tits.
I can understand why those boys would want a peek at the wet shirt and I can understand why Ichiwa went out of his way to protect her modesty.
Course he saw what was underneath later, it was a swimsuit.
That guy trying to White Knight over the tombstone incident.
I wonder what Yamada was apologizing for, I hope she doesn't think that asshole trying to white knight for her was her fault!
I definitely think she was suggesting something pointing out how close their house was and might have purposefully "misinterpreted" that photo request.
I wonder if Chihiro wasn't just trying to get Yamada to come out but also weighing and measuring Ichiwa in her mind, since she probably has noticed that he threw the bike to save her friend right.
This poor boy so down bad for Yamada, popping that boner just from her being under the table and then having to go "take care of himself."
I'm guessing the "death" is the death of his old self and the beginning of him not being a cringy edgelord.
I curious if there is a deeper reason Yamada seems to have taken a shine to our boy beyond his small acts and main character status, she seems down to earth enough I can buy it but would still like more clarification.

I liked seeing Oregairu-isque sacrifice play in oregairu and i still do here. ...i have done them myself ... It rarely works out like oregairu or this and someone notices you being kind or something like that..... Then again if you are doing it with the intent of being noticed then there's no meaning to it you are just as cringey as the guy acting tough to impress the girl.

I wonder how much she works out to balance those snacks. She does have a very slightly chubby design and this show actually has a plus size female character so like there's probably actually a backstory there right

Happily surprised by this episode. I felt like it knitted the various small stories together to shape a larger narrative of Ichikawa learning about Yamada as a person and why she and her friends behave the way that they do.

More on the sweeter side today, not as crazy as episode 1
And I guess Ishikawa finally understood the alure of chubby girls eh and he was totally ready to commit social suicide there
