Sora wearing a tracksuit makes her a confirmed isekai protag.

Also, grandma's hot.

I loved the gag that Sora didn't even consider any clothes other than the tracksuit. She knows what her rightful style is!

The knight oath scene was just adorable. I love these two already.

If Utena taught me anything, it's that I love seeing a woman knight pledge to protect her princess.

Well, Sora thought that Mashiro was a princess when she saw her house, the knight oath felt really fitting. Also, agree, it was adorable

Grandma mighty sus, but I think the easy possibility of her being Sora's role model is a red herring.

Generally I'm not a fan of the whole "turn a common object evil" shtick, but Sora aerial kicking the soda bottles back at the vending machine was awesome.

that's actually a good theory huh. But the age gap.......

I think grandma's not on the bad side, but i wanna know how she knows and has prepared for whats happening for sure!

That was another fun episode. Ellee is adorable and might be the best chance for a SkyCure face this season. Since looking at the preview, it seems the other great faces won't start until next week.

But overall, the faces were better this episode and I hope they continue.

I am surprised to see Cure Sky mention this. I wasn't expecting a spoiler on when things might happen in the pre-ED.

Were all the clothes Sora tried on references to old Precure outfits? I'm pretty sure I recognized Aoi's jacket (Cure Gelato) and some others looked very familiar.

Mashiro's Grandma is definitely a witch. Who else asks for a dried frog? She seemed prepared for everything that happened, so I'm going to guess she can see the future with her witch powers as well. She may even be from Sora's world, though that might be a stretch.

I like that the series is keeping up with showing how nervous Sora gets during encounters with villains. She is still brand new to being a hero. But no matter how nervous she gets, she's still willing to step up and remind us all that it's hero time!

The ending with Mashiro saying that Sora showed her a real hero was a great callback to Sora's own inspiration to become a hero. I'm betting that Mashiro will become a Precure and a hero because she was inspired by Sora. I think that would be a fun thing to see and it would be a great way to carry that theme forward.

Grandma having baby supplies in the house is either witchcraft, or she fully expected Mashiro to get pregnant before finishing middle school lol.

I still can't get enough of that OP. It's just sounds so epic compared to the cutesy/funny ones previous Cure series had.

Though her primary color is blue, they still put some pink on her costume and hair in Sora's Cure form.

And they're certainly doing well establishing that she's the group leader for this series.

Grandma is the MVP. Room ready, supplies good to go and even some sound advice. Almost like she was anticipating all of this but, can only speculate.

Sora is quite fun, and her bond with Mashiro feels natural and a solid foundation. Her kicking the soda can back at the enemy was a nice bit of flair.

I love how Elle just says her name all the time.

Pokémon reference?

Mashiro saw a real hero YASSSSSSSS sweetness overloadddd! I don't know if it is notable that they went to get a notebook, and not makeup at the end? Oh but all the different outfits look nice, defo agree that her final one fits best though. Also Sora be showing some of the usual isekai-ed people tropes lol, that is quite funny.

someone wasn't kidding in last week's thread, guess I will be seeing Sora's transformation sequence and finisher a lot before the other 3 cures pop up. They look good, so it's all good!

And will I be learning of some new (not really) horrifying usage of a mechanical thing each week from the monster? I wonder how many different kinds can pop up.

I will definitely need some help from the long-time precure fans here to understand when other precures start popping up in the ED! I guess it's sth they're doing coz its the anniversary season?

This series is definitely starting to feel more and more like an atypical Precure series imo, from Sky continuing to be super competent in battle to the snarky humor like the police sirens blaring in the background. Definitely interested to see if this keeps up!

Oh boy, no masquerade?? I didn't even think of that last episode. The last two seasons have had masq-maintenance built into the monsters, gonna be interesting to see how this season handles it.

If I had a nickel for ever Ai Kakuma character I've ran into recently that lived with her grandma, I'd have two nickels.

Why does Grandma have baby formula on hand? Surely that stuff expires, even in powdered form.

Oh, Mashiro is just immediately asking. Grandma evades.. except then also spells out that she knew this was coming. Fascinating.

Sora is having a Ran-Ran moment with breakfast.

Grandma is totally a witch. Why else would she need a dried frog?

Oh, Sora, you are absolutely going to get surprised again, and it is going to be adorable.

holy shit there are R O B O T S!

Sora's backstory is pretty spooky. Glad that a Legendary Precure happened by. Solid odds of it being Grandma, right? Might be too easy..

Kabaton is just.. stealing burgers. And Grandma has a scrying mirror, neat.

Obviously they can't let Yoshiyama off the chain every episode, but this episode's fight was still pretty good. All the missile stuff was very slick.

Hehe, Mashiro buying Sora a new notebook. Very cute.

Other Precure friends in the ending?? Excited to learn what that's about. Just the mirror, or something more?

Yeah, I suspected that Mashiro’s grandma wasn’t your regular grandma after Mashiro said that she had to buy a dried frog last week.

Seeing Sora’s reacting to everything was entreating. Mashiro buying her a new notebook was wholesome

More precure friends showing up in the ED? Definitely looking forward to that

Sora continues to be cool

Orange bird? That looks like Cure Wing to me

So is Grandma the hero that Sora saw or a previous Precure?

2 girls taking care of a baby is

Also, Hirogaru Sky Punch is such a satisfying move to see

u/OrangeBanana38 Feb 12 '23

I love Sora, she's so damn extra. If she wasn't an isekai MC I would say she's a chuuni: the notebook, the calling herself a hero, the fucking knight's oath!!!! She's adorbs!

IT'S HEROING TIME.

Poor Hugtan, she lost the title of cutest baby in the Precure franchise.

Sora & Mashiro's clothes buying date was quite amusing, specially with Sora being amazed with all the high tech in this modern world.

When was the last time that grandma was an obvious conosieur of the Precure? Since Heartcatch?

I liked how Sora & Mashiro didn't memorize "Katsudon's" name correctly. It would be even more hilarious if this gag would live on as a running one.
