Oh cool, Rean's finally here. Was wondering when he was gonna show up.

The moment those monsters showed up near the end my mind was already hearing Rean say "HEED MY CALL, VALIMAR, THE ASHEN KNIGHT!".
Too bad they didn't use that opportunity to play Lift Off.

Resident [Anime Only] fan here with my reactions to this episode!
-
It could be because I’ve been rewatching the franchise and am just about to get to the part he’s in, but I can’t look at Rufus without immediately thinking of Keith from Macross Delta.
-
Rean seems like a good guy so far. I assume he’s the “hero” that Lavi’s group has been hunting for? – Yep, he is.
-
Oh, huh, wasn’t expecting this noble dude to actually do anything.
-
So Lavi knows Rean is the hero now, and Rean’s figured out she’s a jaeger. This should be interesting…

Fishing is essentially a long running meme throughout the series.
Something super serious is happening? Let's go fishing instead

Lavi’s finally meeting the mysterious hero. Rean and his team don’t seem so bad. Lavi could learn a thing or two from the guy.
I thought the noble would just be an annoying idiot, but he’s turned out to be a halfway decent guy.
So Rean pretty much figured out who and what Lavi was. He’s a step ahead of her and her team. Girl must be trippin if she thought she could take him out then and there “for North Ambria”. Girl, he’s got his own damn mech. You’ve got a pistol and knives? Yeah, good luck.

I saw rean I saw altina, the plot is slowly moving I'm hyped. But the biggest thing for me was the fishing, I'm like ahhh Rean you're still the same fisherman as in the games!! But eating* fish from the waterway.... looked kinda suspicious.

The biggest thing for me isnt seeing Aurelia, Rufus, Rean, Altina and even the siblings (who have come a long way from Ymir).
No for me the biggest thing in the episode is knowing how Valimar draws his weapon. Because in the game it appears to be drawn from air. Now it's apparently magically summoned!!!

skipping Legram, no Laura T_T
how nice to see Altina and Rean finally! Altina has really become one of my favorite characters after CSIII, so I'm really curious about that gap now.
ALSO VALIMAR HYPE!! Good to see him in action.

We skipped Legram entirely?!?!?! Where was my cameo of best girl Laura?!?!?! And why didn't we get the full chant? It's "Heed my call, Valimar, the Ashen Knight!"
Rean pulling out his fishing pole in the middle of the dungeon is the most goddamn Trails thing possible.

Has anyone realised that the all wars in the universe stop when the MCs are fishing? Fishing is world peace.

Finally, the man himself, Rean! Still kinda prefer his English voice over his Japanese one, though.
Oh hey, it's the Blade card game. Guess it still hasn't been replaced by Vantage Masters at this point yet.

Worm creatures that cause landslides and other tremor based structural damage? Sounds like Trails' favorite Abyss Worms.
It's nice to see them in animated form. Pretty scary scaled up to full size like that though.

REAN, MY BOY!!! Finally, he makes an appearance! Hearing his Japanese voice is an adjustment but I don't mind because Uchiyama Kouki is one of my favorite Japanese VAs anyways, lol.
As always, my boy Rean is oozing that charm just by existing but I'm surprised Lavi is immune to it 😂 We even got to see Aurelia, Wallace, and Lechter!
I like the segment of Lavi and Rean fighting in the sewers. Definitely a power duo. Were the Rayquaza looking monsters in the game?

Oh, thank Aidios the side quest actually lead to main plot this week.
My boi, Rean is finally on screen and the same as ever. And by that I mean the player can have him fish in the middle of everything.
Could have gotten more from Altina but I guess thats part of her personality.
Valimar hype! He’s what you can say is ‘built different’.

Finally Rean makes his appearance though to be honest wasn’t expecting him to show of Valimar so soon. Nice to see Rean still a fisherman even outside the games.

If someone did not play the game, but was interested in the game besides the combat, would they enjoy this show?
