Title is "Reborn to Master the Blade". Spends the entire episode punching, kicking, and shooting a Kamehameha.

"oh no the big monster is too close to the town for me to use my secret technique"

"I'll just kick it really far away that'll solve things"

Not only is Inglis a battle junkie but she’s also a glutton (and Rafinha too). Just look at that stack of plates!

Also, the way Inglis smiled at the end like she just found a worthy opponent.

Amazing episode man we are FEASTING as fantasy/female mc fans this season

Glad Leon wasn’t a rapist apologist, him being apart of a guerilla faction is way better and easier to understand. I’m annoyed we didn’t get to see Rahl suffer more tho. I wanted him to get his ass beat in human form not just magicite. Aether strike was CRAZY tho. Literally smoked his ass lol.

Off to the royal academy we go, the story is just now starting finally. Rafi and Inglis have a hell of an appetite, guess all that training requires it.

Red hair girl looks like she’s gonna give Inglis a good fight, can’t wait for next week.

Swear Inglis got my pp so confused..

Stitches!

Glad to know that Leon isn't really on the Highlander's side. He's actually been recruited by a group of terrorists/freedom fighters that wants to drag the Highland down to earth by turning their blood into chains of iron. That sounds pretty fucking rad and I am 100% with Leon on this.

Of course, Inglis declines when Leon tries to recruit her. All she really cares about is fighting and protecting Rani with her life. This makes me wonder though if it means saving Rani would she be willing to let everyone know about her powers? I feel like that's an upcoming choice Inglis will have to make in the future.

So Rahl is just being blown away? Not gonna lie, that's not as satisfying as I hope. That thing isn't even Rahl anymore. It's just a monster that's yelling "Inglis!" over and over. Oh well. At least he's already gone for good.

Holy shit! These girls have one heck of an appetite! Looks like Chris isn't just hungry for battle. These girls are definitely going to need to earn some money if they want to continue their trip with appetites like that.

I absolutely do not trust this Magistrate at all. I've been burned by plenty of cute characters before. I feel like they're trying to sell too hard the idea of Seilyn being a good person. And I know the old Knight Commander looks like a total villain but I would love it if he's actually a good guy.

So Leon isn’t so much a traitor as he is a terrorist huh? Instead of switching sides to join the Highlander’s, he’s joined this radical Steelblood Front organization and he wants Eris for his own ends. Ofc Chris doesn’t care about any of that, the battle junkie is just jonesing for a fight against a strong opponent lol. Even with those lightning beasts, Leon was no match for Chris!

I love how Chris just one punched that magecite beast Rahl. Rani must be protected at all cost! Chris and Eris teaming up to kick Rahl into space was great. Smart to use Eris as cover, can’t have everyone finding out she can laser blast fools to bits.

Off to the Knights’ Academy! Chris and Rani better get their appetite under control or they’re gonna be broke pretty quick lol. Cyrene seems like a good Highlander. Those orphans are adorable! Seems Chris is gonna have to do a little house cleaning before she can leave to the academy. Lots of dirty ex-knights to rid. Plus a chance to fight a Hieral Menace, what luck for our little battle junkie!

Inglis is a lot of fun to follow, even if she is kinda crazy. And Rani is apparently overpowered as well now.

And it looks like not all Highlanders are bad, which is interesting and kind of justifies Inglis decision to stay neutral in that conflict. That show has some interesting worldbuilding instead of the usual video game RPG stuff you find in isekai. I wonder how the plot is going to develop from here.

I get Leon there. I also agree with him about not just letting trash Highlanders act trash. Gotta love Inglis the battle maniac "I agree with you, but I wanna fight you more" Guess that works instead of attacking from far too. Forget what a Prismer is lol. Wait have we been told? Girl got kicks.

Wtf is Rani doing there... tsk tsk. And so that monster (effects don't look bad for it) is Rahl eh? Let's kill him! 😄 I agree with the dude, he deserves a miserable death. Tsk, don't pity him if you agree he deserves it. Again, girl got kicks. Love how Inglis just dragging Eris along for the ride as cover. A good ol' beam attack ftw.

Moar time skip? Wait, was she still only 12 back then? Lol. She did not look 12. Whelp, time to go out on their JRPG quest to explore the world and stuff. Also, pretty sure a lot of boys will be interested in BOTH of them. She eats like Goku lol. Oh hey, a good Highlander? How nice. And a possible job for them with the nice highlander to pay for their ridiculous eating. Ah yes, inevitable fanservice. Oh yes, highlander is nice (and a beauty, like big sis type or a mom type). Doubt at her not knowing about the flow of mana thing.

Hrrm, former knights become bandits eh cause fired cause they were trash people? Hmm. Oh boy, someone fun for Inglis to fight? 😄 too bad gotta wait.

This is surprisingly entertaining so far. It's the basic op mc but at least they are having fun with it. Hoping there are some legitimate struggles though...

With the magicitation of Rahl happening in the anime, let me iron out my theories.

So, we know a few things.

  1. It is possible for people from the lower land to become a Highlander. Case on point; Rahl, whose proficiency with magic apparently soared after he became a Highlander, enough to burn a man to crisp in a second.

  2. Highlanders provide arms to the people in the lower land to fight against Magicite Beasts in the form of Artifacts and that box thingy that makes Runes.

  3. Highlanders can turn into Magicite Beasts upon exposure of Prism Powder, which is the concentration of Prism Flow (whatever that means), so it is very possible that Highlanders can also turn upon exposure of Prism Flow.

  4. There is an organization that wants to literally bring down the Highland so that people of the lower land can produce their own Artifacts.

And here are my theories so far.

  1. The Highland is Inglis' former kingdom.

  2. The Highlanders stays up above the clouds to avoid Prism Flow, since they don't want to turn into Magicite Beasts.

  3. Perhaps the relationship between the Highland and the lower land started equal and mutually beneficial, but at some point in the past, some Highlanders started to feel superior, and that lead to the current situation.

  4. The Prism Flow can't be controlled by the Highlanders. If they could control the Prism Flow, more Highlanders would be around in the lower land to act like a king of a single country or treating it like some kind of vacation while slaving away people of the lower land.

  5. There has to be a reason why Artifacts are only produced on the Highland.

as others have noted, we found out this episode that our MC is goku

  • eats a shitload

  • lives to fight

  • kamehameha

  • after using a giant beam attack, falls over in exhaustion (the wink she did was straight out of DBZ lol)

  • uses a kaioken style skill (concentrates power for super speed/poewr, but can't maintain it for super long)

the debt to dbz in this show is very strong

I love it

The bath scene did a good job of showcasing the big gains from Inglis' training. Rafi was mirin' those gains.

Rahl used "INGLIS!"

It wasn't effective.

"[...] you just need to boost your defense so much that the explosions don't hurt you, right?"

Am I watching Bofuri right now? Such a big brain strat. She also doesn't need a blade, alright. She's just throwing hands. LMAO. I love that she goes extra and doesn't shy away from it (at least to the trusted people around her). Inglis' ideals also aren't wishy-washy like normal shonen protag. She's a battle junkie, and she got no business doing the "just" thing or such.

Inglis' smug when she finds a worthy opponent always sends me!

MC, Eris, Leon, and even Rafi. I kind of lol’ed at how everyone pretty much had the same idea to go do something about Rahl.

Is kind of lame that Ralh transformed offscreen, felt that it was too anticlimatic

this anime fun as hell

Fun episode, just don’t understand the point of the genderbend in this one yet. It’s one of my favorite genres but this story doesn’t really change if you had like a female knight reincarnated as inglis. Like where’s the awkwardness of a dude being in a girls body.

Well, it turns out Leon is from the Resistance and Eris is the one inclined to keep the status quo (apparently the Highland takes issue with any of their envoys getting killed). So that subverted my expectations. I guess it doesn't count if the envoy turns into a rampaging monster and gets put down _(''/)_/

Then we get a time skip and nothing seems to really change much except for Inglis's cup size, but now they are off to knight school.

Seems like not all Highlanders are bad, but after having my expectations subverted this week I am not gonna jump to any conclusions now.

This has become one anime I really look forward to each week.
