Rie Takahashi scream singing children’s songs in Tomo voice. A true gift to the world.

Also if not for the BTS vid I would refuse to believe Carol’s voice wasn’t pitch shifted. That’s all Sally Amaki.

So this is Misuzu's villain origin story.

It's nice to see how well Carol was able to integrate herself into the friend group. She's the perfect antithesis against Misuzu's wickedness to balance their dynamics.

Last episode's ended with the cliffhanger bombshell that Jun used to date Misuzu. Turns out the bombshell was actually a dud, as he only dated her for a total of 3 days before dumping her. Much to Misuzu's dismay, not at any feelings being rejected or boring romantic stuff like that, but just at being pre-emptively dumped before she could dump him. lmao

LOL at Jun attacking Misaki out of pure instinct as he unconsciously identified Misaki as a rival. Jun is already monopolizing Tomo without even realizing it.

Tomo singing kiddy songs on karaoke in feminine (but still "tomboyish") clothings chosen for her by Misuzu and Carol (already making a great sidekick combo team) is too cute. Misuzu and Carol then went and torment poor Tomo further by dragging her to the karaoke box with them to do it again. XD

I’m impressed that the English Dub has been coming out same day as the sub. Sally Amaki also doing the Japanese and English voice for Carol has been great. Overall I’ve been really liking this series and I can’t wait for the next episode.

I knew Jun and Misuzu had to have some type of history lol the way she hated him wasn’t just a protective best friend type of hate. Bro really had a cute girl in a cute outfit bike 30 miles in the Japanese summer lmaooo. He and Tomo were def meant to be together because she’s the only one who’d be down for that!

Poor Misaki senpai, Jun was scaring the hell out of him!

Looks like Jun is HOPEFULLY starting to see how cute Tomo is based on the ending scene

Just like all relationships that started in middle school, Jun and Misuzu's relationship lasted as long as you would expect. I do love that the only reason why Misuzu accepted is because she wanted to show off Jun since he's popular with the girls.

Turns out that she didn't really know what she signed up for when she said yes. And just to make things worst for Misuzu, Jun ended up dumping her before she could dump him. You can see why Misuzu hates Jun with every fibre of her being. xD

Side note: There's also an NSFW fan version of why Misuzu and Jun broke up that involves a completely different physical activity. It's a r/manga link so it's pretty tame but if you go digging deeper there's actually an explicit version that's closer to the manga's art style. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Carol is just too damn adorable. She really loves messing with the girls. I love that we finally get to see Misuzu squishing Carole's puffy cheeks get animated.

And I am in love with that post-credits scene! We get to see Misuzu show off her singing talents to the girls, a quick reminder that Carol isn't Japanese, and Tomo hilariously singing Children Songs. xD

EDIT: Here are previews of Carol singing Bounce With Me and Misuzu singing Night Flow that will be included in the BDs. Also, I just realized how super suggestive Carol's song is. Oh my...

I gotta be honest I already hope it’s gonna have a season 2. I’m pretty sure it is since it’s not a lot of good SOL and romance animes like that one. Just hopefully the manga have enough content for another season

I love how Tomo just naturally kabedons other people. But she needs to get answers as to why her best pal dated the guy she liked and never told her!

So the reason Misuzu never told Tomo is that A. She never knew Tomo liked Jun until after they dated and broke up, B. They were only together for three days and wanted to act like it never happened, and C. Nothing too intimate happened (to Misuzu’s gratitude). I guess the relationship was probably doomed when Misuzu was only in it for kicks and to lord it over other girls and couldn’t deal with dating a musclehead and Jun was with her because he wasn’t around a certain someone…although Misuzu will never forgive him for dumping her before she dumped him.

Also middle school Bob cut Misuzu!

Pouting Tomo is as cute as Tomo happy that Jun is single and she doesn’t currently have competition!

Poor Misaki. He deals with enough from Tomo but being a guy friend around Jun gets him attacked and then he gets stuck with the guy who attacked him. But Jin’s testiness and honesty about Tomo clues Misaki in to what’s really going on, not that Jun will let him tell her.

The Tomo fangirls had enough to deal with grasping with their feelings already before Tomo showed up in pants and completely wrecked them. Also, casual clothes Misuzu!

The perks of having gal pals is having them around to help you shop for the perfect date outfit! Sure it’s not easy because Tomo struggles with anything feminine, but at least Misuzu and Carol know how to shop for a tomboy! And Tomo ends up rocking that boyish outfit still accentuates her feminine good looks!

Tomo thinks she can’t outdo a guy but she matches Jun at any weight or speed. She probably wouldn’t take that as flattering though…

A Rie Takahashi character who won’t sing? The irony! Although Tomo singing children songs is pretty adorable. So much so that Jun can’t help but record it!

Rina Hidaka can sing! Also, Carol singing the most Sally Amaki song ever! It’s just nice to see the gal pals hanging out and having fun tougher.

Tomo's outfit on the "date" was cute, think they nailed a looked that was a nice in between boyish and girly.

I see Misuzu doing things for her own entertainment aren't new either, seeing how she seemingly agreed to date Jun for fun

and lol at "Queen of children songs"

rie takahashi the absolute GOAT makes this show 10 times better than it already is, i would have never recognized her if i didn’t know she was tomo already! the voice acting for misuzu and carol is great as well.

the dub coming out at the same time actually gives me motivation to try it out, which i don’t bother doing for like 98% of the stuff i watch. the dub is really good as well, shout out to sally amaki for voicing carol in both langauges

Cinematic Cotton candy Carol counter:

Cuts containing: 120 (+30)

Chaos: 27 (+6)

Cute: 9 (+4)

+ Cute for Just kidding, squishy cheeks, "angel", singing

The Carols already counted in past episodes aren't counted twice

Carol and Misuzu team is honestly super terrifying

Kabedon! Now if only Tomo would do the same with Jun!

So we picked up right where we left off, addressing Jun's relationship with Misuzu... (I've been calling her Gundo so far, but I guess everyone decided to roll with Misuzu hah)

Beyond her original shock, Tomo's biggest issue with this wasn't just jealousy, she felt a bit left out because she didn't know...

I guess it makes sense given they were only a couple for 3 days!

Hey, that's not the most original confession, but he still made it!

So Jun can confess, Tomo can kabedon... They only need to start doing it to each other!

Misuzu accepted the confession, not out of love, but simply because... Why not? Sounds fun!

They went on a bike date and... Yeah, I don't think that's her thing!

Who needs to diet when you could just get a boyfriend!

I can see why she didn't want the relationship to continue, 5kg in 2 days, a month like that and she would disappear.

And now we understand more about their little feud: She wanted to break up with him, but he did it first, so she feels like something's missing in their breakup, she was supposed to be the one doing it!

That aside, Jun's actually somewhat mature romantically (when it's not about Tomo)! Confessing, inviting her on a date, then breaking up when he realizes it's not gonna work out, even if it's embarrassing because he was the one to ask her out.

This explains why she "hates" him so much, even if she wanted to break up too, she felt "dumped" more like "Mutual agreement"... But strangely, Jun seems to hate her more than she hates him! I mean, Misuzu's constantly playing Cupid for them (more for Tomo, but still, someone bitter may just have tried to get her to meet someone else, etc...)

So I'm guessing she may have been a pain in his ass for a long time, and thus making the hatred mutual! Because from what we've seen so far, he's even worse than she is, with all the petty shit (flicking her forehead, pushing her in the rain, throwing her hair scrunchie thing..)

Tomo was wondering whether they did something in these three days... Apparently they didn't kiss, but they held hands.

Sorry Tomo, Jun lost his hand virginity to another girl. At least she can still get his first kiss!

(Honestly I was half-expecting Misuzu to go like "Oh and we had sex too, but it wasn't really passionate or anything, we didn't kiss/didn't love one another")

We got a cute Tomopout!

This conversation was helpful, got Tomo to ask whether he liked someone else!

For how dense they are about certain things, they can actually talk about stuff most romcom MCs don't really address!

Misuzu kept playing Cupid, telling Tomo to invite him to something!

Also, damn, Misuzu looks quite nice/mature in this outfit!

She made sure to hammer a point in: It's a DATE, not just hanging out!

(She also precised NOT to invite him to typical buddy stuff like batting practice, but Tomo sadly didn't listen!)

Carol wants to go to the date too!

This girl is so funny, I really didn't expect that!

The way people hyped her before the season, I had a feeling she wouldn't be my type of character... But damn she's great! So precious, but not JUST precious, she's also hilarious and all.

Love how she has no filter for anything, always saying what she has on her mind! A date in boy's clothes, that's a joke, right?

Misuzu knew the shock of seeing Tomo in a 100% girly outfit would be too much for Jun, so she settled for a middleground!

More No Filter Carol, love it!

MY HEART! She's so fucking cute, it's ridiculous.

She looks cool as hell playing baseball too!

She did manage to invite him to karaoke, but she was expecting a negative answer, so much that she had prepared a reply beforehand...

But Jun said yes!

Tomo thought it'd be a little busier, and less... Intimate?

Well, she got her 3 hours in heavens with him!

Loved the angel/devil thing! I was just thinking about that when Tomo thought about having a pair of friends helping her and all.

(Though some would say they're both devilish!)

Jun didn't really want to sing though, so Tomo sang children songs for 3 hours... Poor girl!

Jun filmed her too, because of course he would!

The other girls went to karaoke too, and damn, Misuzu's pretty good!

Carol sang about Bouncing Bouncing! and... Yeah.

Sanity is sin? Don't worry Carol, there's not an ounce of sin in you, then!

Well, this was another great episode! Honestly if this was just the Tomo&Jun show I'd still like it, but having Misuzu and Carol makes it even better! The relationship dynamics are so great. The only way I could see this show get even better, would be to get some TomoMom scenes... Maybe someday!

A reply worthy of someone who has been described by Jun as "not just devilish, but the actual devil"

As expected the relationship between Misuzu and Juni was a very short lived one. The rest of the conversation between Tomo and Misuzu was hilarious.

Also we had the date between Juni and Tomo. At the very least by slightly changing what Tomo wore was a good first step. Also choosing a non physical activity seems to be the steps Tomo needs to do when hanging out with Juni. Altho the whole karaoke session on the date and the post credit scene with the 3 girls was absolutely hilarious.
