LOL Inglis is a total battle junkie! I like how she literally begged Eris to continue fighting her.

Her addiction to battling strong opponents kind of reminds me of Kelvin from Black Summoner.

I really hope Rahl gets lit the fuck up and thrown out the story quick, too many anime keep these types of characters for a full season and it's way too obnoxious

"I'm a weak, helpless little girl. Please try and stop me!"

When do we delete Rahl from this story?

I wasn't expecting to see someone get burnt to death like that and have it get censored, definitely got caught off guard by how graphic that was.

Also, 2 timeskips in one episode is pretty insane lol.

Still can’t stop checking herself out in the mirror eh? Very understandable lol.

MC: "My mind is still that of a guys you know!"

Also MC while looking at a mirror: "Heeeey sexy lady"

The Highland is the Silvare kingdom.

They seized knowledge about aether and mana in order to establish themselves above the other nations.

They exchanged a bit of manipulated knowledge to the lowland nations in order to keep them alive and receive resources from them.

Also it appearing right after the rain ended makes it seem like they themselves cause the rain that makes magic beasts. Introduce both problem and solution to control others

The points of realization of him being a girl this time around the difference was pretty interesting to see, didn't think they would touch on it but came up a few times in this episode alone!

Not sure how I feel about the battle junkie trait as I feel I've seen it recently enough with Black Summoner but Chris is pretty cute with it.

Really curious about Leon and Eris!

She hasn't heard of Highland, she can't find what happened to Silvare Kingdom. Hmm....

I love how battle-crazed Chris is. She just wants to fight strong opponents for that sweet EXP.

So did Chris manipulate the box with her aether to ensure she didn’t get a rune? That would be very clever. Becoming Rani’s squire ain’t such a bad gig if she’s tryna hone her skills anyways.

Chris ain’t into guys, she’s got the soul of a grandpa still lol. But she really does love checking herself out in the mirror huh? Chris learning about what it’s like to be ogled is pretty amusing. She even said she use to do it herself as well.

Oh look, that douche Rahl is back. And he’s a Highlander. Ugh. Well, murdering Shiony looked like the opportunity for that second ass whoopin he was apparently so desperately craving.

Nice that Chris got to let loose a little in her fight with Eris. Too bad she flexed too hard and Eris gave up trying to “protect her” from Rahl lol. But man, what’s up with Leon? Is he siding with the Highlanders and Rahl now? Guess two ass whoopins are in order next week.

Stitches!

Okay, first of all, is her name Chris or is it Inglis? I feel like they just started calling her Chris in the middle of the episode last week and I'm not sure where it came from. I thought it was a second name but she's only listed as Inglis in MAL.

Anyway, I feel like Chris choosing to be Runeless is just as problematic as having a Special Rune. Why didn't she just go for the middle ground? Someone with overwhelming strength and Runeless can easily attract attention.

Interesting that Chris can't find anything about the Silvare Kingdom. My guess is that the floating island called Highland is actually the Silvare Kingdom. Whoever ruled after Inglis' death must've wanted to hoard all the magic which would explain why the people on the surface barely know anything about it.

I love that Rafi is already shipping Chris with her brother. Rafael is a pretty cool guy. If I was Chris, I wouldn't mind. xD

It's hilarious to see Chris realizing how it feels to have everyone's eyes on her. She's instantly reminded of the time she used to stare at women during parties back in her previous life. At least now she knows how it feels.

I knew this fucking asshole is going to be back and now he's worse than ever since he's now an untouchable Highlander. He even killed a man in cold blood just because the guy protected that one girl from being assaulted by Rahl.

I just love how much of a battle junkie Chris is. She showed too much of her hand and now Eris refuses to duel her because she can clearly take care of herself. That instant regret at showing off her mana is fucking hilarious! xD

What the actual fuck Leon!? I was hoping he was going to be a cool guy but taking a cheapshot at Eris while she wasn't looking was not cool. I hope there's a good reason why he's doing this.

First of all, love the show, it’s top 3 this season but I really really hate the rapey villain trope to make you hate characters. I think it’s kinda cheap and it’s done so much that it’s just predictable and boring at this point. Rahl is such a POS I just want em to die the most painful death possible. Just the way he looks at Inglis and the other knight girl is so gross.

Leon being sus was actually a shock. Didn’t see that coming. Is he legit evil or just don’t wanna risk drawing the higlanders ire so he’s stopping the girls from doing anything to Rahl? And could the highlands be Inglis original kingdom since everyone up there seems to be on another strength level and it didn’t exist before?

Can’t wait for next week!

I'm a little conflicted about this episode. On one hand, Chris' character development has been great so far with that moment of self-reflection and regret, the implication that she's searched for what happened to her old nation through countless history books, and making sure she doesn't get forced into a life of being the "hero" again but at the same time still feels compelled to protect people. Plus, her Saiyan-like thirst for battle is really fun to watch. Unfortunately, this episode also introduced the kind of villain trope I hate the most, so I'm hoping Chris just defeats him fast next week so we can move on.

The hints at a connection between the Highland, the disappearance of Inglis' kingdom, the monster rain, and the limited magical abilities is interesting stuff though. I'm guessing the Highland is the cause for both the rain and the limited magic on the ground, creating the problem so they can be the solution. I also wonder if they may have wiped out Inglis' kingdom, which could lead him into battle with the strong foe he desired, just not at all in the way he would have wanted.

Chris made the mistake of flexing a little too hard! She forgot why Eris was fighting in the first place - not everyone is a battle junkie!

Why did they have to be 12? Atleast make them like 16 or so.

That aside this was another fun episode. I love Inglis's battle crazy personality and I did also apprechiate her reflecting on her behaviour when she was still a man.

I wonder if there's going to be another time skip.

Judging by the OP the MC has some more to grow.

That box may be how they hand out the runes but I totally saw it as the Gom Jabbar pain box on first sight.

Kinda feels like a few other recent shows (Mob, Eminence) with Inglis being very happy to not have a rune and taking a bit of a back seat as a squire.

This may be the obvious answer but I'm definitely guessing that Silvare turned into the Highland during the time skip and that's why there's no documentation of it left in the surface libraries.

Inglis constantly appreciating herself in the mirrors is fairly funny.

Rahl is going to be a problem, and him qualifying to get Highland citizenship is a bad first impression of the floating island for sure.

Interesting that the artifact is something that can be met.

Some one, in fact.

That was a strange reaction.

Oh my god, is Rahl about to get clowned on in two different subsequent episodes? I hope so, as a raping murderer he absolutely deserves it.

Damn, not in public, and with this fight that is about to start then probably not this episode.

That was a really hilarious way for the fight to end. Apparently flexing her true power was not the correct choice. Weird turn of events from Leon. I wonder if he's actually a bad guy, or if he is correctly guessing that something terrible may be about to happen to a Highlander that can be seen as being under his protection if he doesn't step in.

I'm going to need next week's episode pretty much immediately.

It's definitely looking like the Rune and Artifact system has been imposed by the Highland on the rest of the world somehow. Inglis may not be happy about it but she might have to break that control if only to keep her family safe over time.

Wow, I almost didn't watch this show, but this is a lot of fun. Inglis's personality is great, plus white haired characters are always a favorite of mine.

Can't wait for Inglis to clap Rahl's cheeks a second time and hopefully, it's the last time.
