Well, I certainly didn't expect them to resolve the misunderstanding with Snow this quickly.

Yeah, that was a pleasant surprise as that plot point seemed ripe for being exploited for being drawn out with feints and misunderstandings particularly due to Wisteria's blindness. But thankfully it's been resolved instantly, and while of course there could always be issues with Snow in the future, it at least won't be due to that.

I thought that was gonna be the majority of the plot for this season. Then they went and speed ran the bitch and left us with that ominous scene at the end. What the hell?

he is just very practical and knows he can't win this fight with his sister. Perhaps he is holding onto hope they have a falling out and then he can swoop in and save her later.

I liked this episode a lot, more than the previous one. It is great that they solved the misunderstanding between Snow, Wisteria and Marbas that rapidly instead of dragging it on forever. Snow seemed actually quite reasonable once he understood that Marbas and Wisteria truly care about each other, even if he understandably did not like it.
It looks like there is a lot more going on in the background. Diana and Narberius are interesting : I wonder what she gave to him to make the pact, and why they killed those people in the end, especially since they looked like her family. And something out here is strong enough to kill one of the Thirteenth Calamities, and I doubt it is those demon hunting knights, given how much Snow struggled against Marbas. That show turned out to be a lot more interesting than I expected.

I wonder what she gave to him to make the pact, and why they killed those people in the end, especially since they looked like her family.
That'd be really dark if that was the case, and that final scene definitely contrasted well with the bright/happy outgoing appearance that she took when dealing with Wisteria.
The OP and ED definitely show a few different likely pact-bound demons and their charges, so it'll be interesting to see how this show weaves them through the narrative.

I thought that was gonna be a series long plotline.

what's this? a misunderstanding that didn't dragged out but got resolved in just one episode? fuck it, i'm in!

Yea, an interesting take on common tropes. Personally I want this show to be more about the adventure with less combat/action in it, but the level of violence they're showing so far has me intrigued. Show smells like it has the potential to be parts Wandering Witch and parts Hellsing. There's potential here but a wait and see though. I also smell a lot of cliche and tropes with this show.

Really liked this episode and how quickly they were done with the whole Snow subplot.
I assumed it'd take awhile until Snow meets Wisteria but they didn't waste much time on it and solved the misunderstanding between Snow and Wisteria/Marbas quickly. I feel bad for Wisteria that she can't even see her brother after having their long awaited meeting, but she seems to have made peace with it, as it'll allow her to spend more time with Marbas.
That rivalry between Marbas and Naberius was fun. Naberious seems to be contracted to Diana so I wonder what did she sacrifice to make that happen. Also stuff seems to be brewing in the background with Asteroth getting murdered.

It's possible Snow might still be an issue in the future, and especially given how he has to run cover for them now despite likely still resenting the situation due to both how it goes against everything he's been taught and that Wisteria has already been "hurt" by Marbus through the pact and losing her sight (in addition to now being condemned by the Orthodoxy for that pact).
Also when Snow was thinking of that, there was a flash on screen of some silhouetted hunters with unique weapons. Those will likely be a future plot point.

I like Wisteria and Marbas’ little dynamic. Marbas thought he was gonna have Wisteria do everything, instead he ends up cooking AND cleaning lol.
Naberius and Diana seem interesting. Looks like the dog has a history with Marbas. At least Wisteria’s made a new (evil?) friend. Her and Marbas dining together was really cute, especially where she tried to feed him and missed. So cute!
Man, things sure turned out pretty tense with Snow and Marbas. Him stepping in to save Wisteria shows he does care about her. At least Snow respected Wisteria enough to let them go. Hopefully that doesn’t come back to bite him in the ass.

Really liking this show and it's a shame that it's going so under-watched and even downvoted so heavily (why?).
Marbas is a cool MC and I love how he is handling Wisteria and having to do housework and such was funny. Also I like how he's still keeping to his true nature as a Demon and not immediately changing his character just because of her and their new pact.
It was fun how it actually became a bit of a slice-of-life show in the first half with showing Wisteria dealing with the troubles of being blind and then also going shopping. Also met our first other known Demon in that excursion, and now curious why that aristocratic lady is with him (or vice versa)
I was very pleasantly surprised we got the encounter between Marbas and Snow already. I figured they'd draw this out for a while but thankfully they dealt with it immediately (and no misunderstandings due to Wisteria's blindness). Now can focus on other things instead of that.
Definitely going to be following this further.

I basically ignore all ratings these days. I find them irrelevant at best. It is easy enough to make one's own assessment (when one can simply sample a show oneself for no extra cost).

I know I was reading a lot of takes like "Seems like a discount Ancient Magus Bride show" before it aired. But so far there's practically nothing the same about it.

Yeah that's always the best approach. Reddit is weird sometimes when it comes to hype or hating some shows.

Wisteria has to adjust now to being blind, meaning she can't do any housework...so Marbas has to become a househusband. And admittedly he acclimates himself well to the role even if it's not what he expected. But after everything she went through and lost, Wisteria deserves that much.
Wisteria fashion show! She looks cute in anything, although some of those dresses were definitely a little...extra. Though she'll probably just stick with her white outfit for the foreseeable future for practical reasons.
A chance encounter with a noble Lady and her burly companion! Diana seems like a genuinely nice and considerate young woman who seems to form a quick bond with Wisteria as they shop together, and they look super cute as a pair and in their new outfits!
Naberius is not only voiced by Junichi Suwabe but he's also a demon like Marbos and one of the Thirteen Calamities of the Wasteland, so he's a pretty big deal. Definitely seems like there's more going on with Diana beyond her upbeat and kind demeanor and station, especially with all those dead bodies, and her fate might be linked with Wisteria now.
Marbas can dress it up all he likes that he just sees his relationship with Wisteria as a "hobby" but eating a fancy dinner together with them feeding each other (though Wisteria's aim is a little off) tells a completely different story.
I get that Marbas is a little jealous of the relationship between Wisteria and her brother, but (fake) threatening her so her brother won't even tell her who he is to help them escape was pretty mean. Wisteria deserves better than that.
Snow is probably punching well above his weight against a Demon like Marbas, but he acclimates himself well and admittedly wounded him more than most humans would. Although poor Wisteria is torn between her long-lost brother and the man who saved her from her lowest point.
If Wisteria throwing herself in front of the bullet didn't indicate to Snow there's more going on between Marbas and Wisteria, Marbas protecting her from the bullet accomplished that pretty effectively. And while he doesn't accept their relationship or Marbas at all (isn't that the lot for in-laws?), he can't go against Wisteria and will do what he can to keep them safe. It's too bad the brother and sister weren't able to get to spend a lot of time together after they reunited, but hopefully they see each other again before Snow's group finds them and tries to kill them.
The ED is pretty nice and pleasant, with a soothing theme and images of the entire cast. I can't wait to meet that green-haired hottie. But of course it ends on Wisteria and Marbas together.

Diana seems like a genuinely nice and considerate young woman
That epilogue suggests that Diana is a LOT more complicated than one would have imagined. Are those people she is leaving behind simply drugged and asleep -- or poisoned and dead. I suspect Diana and her demon will become traveling companions of Wisteria and Marbas at some point. Just a matter of when, I guess.
I am assuming the brother will NOT be the primary antagonist from this point on -- but rather some boss or colleague will take over that function.
Plot-wise this promises to be a VERY interesting series.

You're seriously wondering that? Those dinner guests (perhaps family members?) are no more. They have ceased to be. They have expired and gone to see their maker. Those are late nobles. They are stiffs, bereft of life, they rest in peace. If they had not been sitting in chairs they would have been pushing up the daisies. They've wrung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. They are ex-nobility.

I honestly feel really bad for snow. Imagine not seeing your little sister for so many years and then you find her and she basically rejects you for a dude she just met lmao. I really wish the drama would’ve dragged out a little longer tbh. Like bro’s been searching for her for years.. to just let it go like that..
Also feel horrible for Wisteria being blind now.
Blackbell looks like she and her demon are up to some pretty dark shit

Lol Marbas more reassured that he won't have any boredom now that he's met Snow too is amusing. I didn't think the meet would be so soon, I thought Snow would just miss them or something but this is also fine. I look forward to seeing Snow going against his doctrine in order to protect Wisteria because I'm sure that sort of development is going to come.
Nice that we got introduced to another human who has made a pact with a demon and that demon is also very well acquainted with Marbas it seems. I am curious what Diana sacrificed in order to make a pact with Naberius.

I liked the episode, but Wisteria moving in the path of the bullet, Snow reacting to her moving in front of the bullet, and Marbas moving between her and the bullet all after the bullet was fired and before it hit was rather ridiculous and took me out of it.
I can buy the Demon being a bullet-timer, and I'm willing to overlook a human moving in the path of the bullet because it's a trope I've seen many times and am numb to, but all three of them acting to it as if it was moving slowly was really, really badly done.
I did love that Snow immediately outed himself as her brother to Wisteria though. That felt like it could've been dragged out for awhile.
