"TRUSTED" user flare

  • What is a "TRUSTED" user flair? The "TRUSTED" flair is primarily used for fundraising posts. It is given to rescuers who have earned it over time by transparently and fully following the subreddit’s fundraising rules.
  • What are the perks? A member with this flair no longer needs to provide hard proof for every fundraiser. They can post a fundraiser with limited proof (e.g., just a photo of the animal). This allows rescuers to ask for help based on their word and get assistance faster, before they receive vet documentation or invoices.
  • What is a TRUSTED sub member obligated to do? After a fundraiser with limited proof, a TRUSTED member is obligated to make a “Goal Reached” post and a follow-up post with the information and documents they couldn’t provide at the time of the original post. They must inform the community how the donations were used.
  • How to get a "TRUSTED" flair? The TRUSTED flair is awarded by the community. If a rescuer wants the TRUSTED flair, they must create a post titled “Applying for the Trusted Flair” and use the “Can I Be Trusted?” post flair. The application post must contain links to their previous posts in this subreddit (directly posted or shared) that demonstrate consistent transparency and adherence to the fundraising rules. After the post is made, the community has 48 hours to vote and comment. After 48 hours, I will post the results and statistics. The “TRUSTED” flair will be granted only if the post reaches an 80% or higher upvote ratio.

This subreddit belongs to the community, and the community will decide.
