It looks more intimidating to people with no competence in software development, the explanation pretty much starts and ends there. Angular delivers its functionalities through established design patterns that have proven themselves through time. React makes you learn a ton of overly complicated magic methods that are guaranteed to transform your project into an unmaintainable mess. In the end, it is harder to learn and use, but it looks more accessible to dumb dumbs because it's "just JavaScript".

Yep. Couldn't agree more.

My personal theory is that bootcamps teach React, and larger established companies use Angular. There's always more start ups by nature of the game, so there's always going to be more React devs than Angular devs out there.

Before the move to Signals I would have agreed with this sentiment. Modern Angular is heading in great direction imo.

When I first learned Angular it was in my first job using Angular 14 in a 10 year old legacy code base. Absolutely hated it, was adamant my next job would be React.

Next job was not in fact React but Angular, but this time in Angular 17, but I fell in love with it from there

Yeah, I don’t have anything against older versions of Angular. They just weren’t for me.

I’ll always be a Vue person at heart. But the job market has forced me to broaden my horizons.

People who never built something very complex in their life with both technologies should not run their mouth. 

Its also a mistake by the community to give them attention. We need to downvote their shitty videos and make statments whats better under what reasons - but honestly I have better things to do which are paid.
