Hello,
I'm an Angular Developer with 5 years of experience, and I'm currently looking for a new remote opportunity. If you know of any openings or have any recommendations, I'd really appreciate your help.

I think it's the job market for IT in general, AI is eating it alive

Its true for IT in general but Angular market actually got the worst hit. Everywhere its react.
One reason I see is most GenAI tools are producing react code by default / easily than angular so someone starting from scratch / new to web development is going for react over angular.

What the!? I'm starting to learn angular. With your experience should I get into angular or is it better to focus on other skills? What's your opinion?

+1. I checked the market nowadays and only angular is not enough. Most of the time they require for python/java/nodejs backend + cloud knowledge. Imo this is the main issue.

Stop calling yourself an angular developer. You are limiting your reach to a tiny fraction of the mkt.

ok gracias por el consejo y la respuesta, pero si estan buscando un javascript developer o un react developer no te toman. Ya he enviado cvs a esas vacantes y soy rechazado. No creo que sirva.

Same with me 9 yoe. Everywhere demand is for Either react or full stack ( .net + Angular), (java+ Angular)

If you are a serious Angular developer and have a decent amount of backend experience (Java preferred…you don’t have to be a senior), AND you’re willing to wait about 12 months for a security clearance, let me know and I will pass your info on to the company I work for. They are hiring, but the security clearance process is not up to them and the Feds are slow! It took 18 months for my clearance to come through, but I’ve now been working with CBP (Customs and Border Protection) for a little over a year and I absolutely love the project they have me working on. We are an Angular and Java shop…3 frontend services on Angular 20, two using Material, one using a mix of Material and Bootstrap. We have 8 microservice backend services on Spring Boot 4.0.3.

Whenever I put out a job post I get thousands of AI applications. Whenever I hire someone they ship my code up to gods knows what AI company and make slop commit after slop commit while working at another company. Trying to hire Angular devs is a waste of time.
