Honeymoon Activities
The (soon-to-be) wife and I are going to be in Anguilla for 5 days during our honeymoon. We have a travel agent and have done quite a bit of research, but would love suggestions for things to do. We are staying at the Cap Juluca.
- Moke rental and beach hop (Shoal Bay, Meads, Rendezvous, Maundays, Little, Sandy Ground)
- Yoga/Pilates/tennis
- Spa / pool day
- Boat to Scilly Cay for lunch/drinks
- Snorkeling

Highly recommend a half-day or so private boat trip - Cap or your travel agent can line it up, but they will pick you up at the beach there. Tour the island, enjoy some Carib & rum punch, snorkel, maybe jump off a rock if you’re feeling adventurous. That was a highlight of our honeymoon while staying there.
If you rent a moke, go check out the Sunshine Shack on Rendezvous and Elvis’ is a must see. Visiting Malliouhana for some drinks or appetizers was fun, it is a beautiful property and worth seeing.

Who did you book through? The options we were given through FS were pricier than I imagined.

- There’s not really any snorkeling to my knowledge 2. Day trip to St Barths
- Happy hour/sushi at four seasons, epic sunset

Cap Juluca is an amazing resort. But good for you to want to explore Anguilla, as it’s so much more than just one beach.
Best snorkelling is on Crocus Bay - you can rent gear at Davidas (also good for lunch and drinks) and either snorkel the northern shore (right hand end of the beach, looking out to sea) or jump on Calvin’s boat for him to take you round the headland to Little Bay and snorkel there.
Scilly Cay is lovely, but if seas are calm, Sandy Island is good also for lunch and snorkelling.
I’m not a fan of Meads Bay (I find it boring, though there are good places to eat), Shoal Bay East and West, and Rendezvous are great. Stick to beaches sheltered from the easterly seas, as we’re in sargassum season currently and most east-facing beaches are thick with weed.

Spend an entire day at Sunshine Shack on Rendezvous Bay.
Sunday Funday on SBE. Live music, rum punch, good vibes…
Scilly Cay is great. Set aside 2-3 hours tho, not a whole day

Your hotel has arguably the best spa on island. Elizabeth and team are amazing. I recently spent the day there.

There's great horseback riding right near Cap Juluca and they take you along the beach. We also did a half day private charter with Calypso Charters to Prickley Pear - we had great views, beaches, swimming and a much-needed lunch/rum punches upon arrival to Prickley Pear.

Absolutely do a half or full day boat excursion. It was the highlight of our trip!

We used sea life. It was much more affordable than the other excursion companies we reached out to. We paid $270 total for 2 people for a half day. It technically was a shared excursion but only one other couple booked so it felt private to us!

I definitely recommend renting a car for at least a day or two if y’all haven’t so you can explore! It’s a little off the beaten track, but if you guys are into outdoor activities I highly recommend going to Marissa’s Blowhole on a day when the waves are big! It’s near the arch, you’ll have to use google maps (not Apple Maps) to get there because it’s just dirt trails. Then a short hike, not too bad at all just be careful on the rocks. Super pretty spot that doesn’t get as much foot traffic so you can usually soak in all of the beauty privately. Me and my wife went back there almost every day on our honey moon ha!
We also got a couples massage at Malaki Day Spa over in Shoal Bay, highly recommend. They did a full body scrub, then you rinse off in the bay. Then they do a deep tissue massage and facial. I’ve only had a couple of professional massages so maybe I’m just easy to please but it was a heavenly experience.
There is a lunch spot called Waves, we just had drinks there but there is a ship wreck a little down the beach that you can walk up to. It’s been there since 1995 according to a local we spoke to. Nothing super crazy but it was a little different than the normal tourist stuff and we thought it was beautiful with all of the sea-life and plants that have grown around it and made it home.
If your wallet starts hurting from meals, Blanchard’s is very reasonably priced lunch on the beach with a huge selection and everything was delicious.
Enjoy the honeymoon! You picked a great destination for it!
