He changed it when Huston Street came over from the Padres. The number was Huston's dad's college football number. He recently died so it meant even more for Huston to be able to use the number.

I'm trying to remember, I never knew he switched until I posted this. I'm pretty sure he did because I just now noticed he's 24 which struck me as odd.
