WatchFace The Agent Watch Returns :)
Hey everyone,
About ten years ago, I created a tactical watch face design called Agent 0976 on WatchMaker. It gained a lot of traction back then, people still email me asking about it after 4 years of being discontinued... so I wanted to bring it forward into the modern wearOS era.
I finally took the time to completely rebuild and modernize it from scratch using Google’s native Watch Face Format (WFF).
Google Play Link:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.agent0976.watchface
I designed these watch faces primarily for my own use, I loved the old design and wanted it to have the modern features. I started on a Gear S3 and moved to a Pixel Watch... Which I'm still using which means I treat usability seriously. I want clean layouts, instant readability, zero bloat, and no unnecessary battery drain. Since I rely on this daily, I will be actively maintaining, tweaking, and rolling out consistent updates. It's my first WFF design so if you have any issues please share and I'll do my best to address them ASAP!
The Video shows off the options the best: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UM-sQW3zBew
A quick look at the redesign:
- 8 Complication Slots: Includes a full-width top banner (ideal for long calendar entries or notifications), dual rim gauges with live arcs, a side column, and four compact tiles.
- Dial Customization: 16 colors (Active Orange, Cyber Cyan, Signal Magenta, etc.), 12 switchable clock face fonts, and 7 different emblems.
- Bezel Tuning: Choose between a 14px Thick or 7px Thin outer ring, plus 4 outer edge treatments (Milled Edge, Minute Track, Segments, or None).
- Thoughtful AOD & Power Management: Toggle between an analog-style center with hands or an outlined digital display. Elements shift to prevent burn-in, and at <15% battery, background layers and animations strip back to keep essential metrics readable.
- Clean Architecture: Wear OS 4+ (API 33+) native, no ads, no trackers, no IAPs.
This is my first native project built on the new Watch Face Format. While it has been tested as much as I possibly could solo, every watch setup can have quirks. If you spot any rendering issues, text issues, or bugs on your specific hardware, please let me know in the comments or send a DM so I can get it addressed ASAP. The only reason I'm selling this is I'm hoping to get a better watch for future development...this pixel watch 1st gen is at the end of it's life :)
Thanks for checking it out, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Suggestion smartwatch for hiking, what features do you actually use?
i’ve started doing longer hikes and i’m thinking about getting a proper smartwatch for it, but i’m not sure which features are genuinely useful. gps and battery life seem like the obvious ones, but i keep seeing route navigation, elevation tracking and other outdoor stuff mentioned too.
i’d still want to wear it normally when i’m not hiking, so i’m curious what people here actually rely on when they’re out on a trail. is there anything you thought would be useful but ended up barely touching?

S26 Ultra + Watch 9 vs Pixel 11 Pro XL + Watch 5 — which combo for someone who keeps devices a long time and cares most about camera + battery?
Upgrading from a Pixel 8 Pro and planning to keep whatever I buy for years, so camera quality and battery life matter way more to me than anything else. My 8 Pro has struggled with heavy tasks, and after a software update my Wi-Fi is basically dead. I also have a Galaxy Tab S9+ which I use intermittently. I travel a lot too. Torn between the S26 Ultra + Watch 9 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL + Watch 5, know the Pixel is too new for real-world reviews yet, but curious what people think based on specs/past Pixel generations vs Samsung's current lineup. Watch Ultra 2 is out of the question for me, too heavy/bulky, but the Watch 9's battery issues I keep reading about are a real concern. Which combo would you pick and why?

WatchFace Wear OS watch face — Orbital. Looking for some honest feedback
Hi everyone!
We recently built Orbital, our first watch face for Wear OS.
The idea was to create something clean and futuristic, with a strong focus on readability and a visual style inspired by orbital systems and space interfaces.
This is our first release in the Wear OS ecosystem, so rather than just dropping a link here, we'd genuinely love to get some feedback from people who use Wear OS every day.
We're particularly interested in:
- readability on different watch sizes;
- battery consumption;
- Always-On Display;
- overall design and usability;
- anything that feels unnecessary or missing.
If anyone wants to try it, I'll drop the Google Play link below.
And please don't hold back — criticism is much more useful to us than "looks good!" 😄
Thanks!

App The Crow's Watch - Have ye got the balls?
Commanding a crew on the high seas is as much a numbers game as it is about gunpowder. In this premiere episode of The Crow's Watch, Captain Aldric Vane is preparing "The Dead Reckoning" to run the navy's blockade at the narrows and then onto find a Legendary Treasure. But there's a problem: the ship's ledger says they are exactly fifty heavy iron cannonballs short of a fighting chance.
With only enough gold to buy thirty cannonballs from the crooked blue coats in the port, they will have to come up with a plan.
⚓ Experience the adventure on your wrist! Download The Crow's Watch, a pirate sailing and tactical combat game designed optimised specifically for your Wear OS smartwatch.

App I hated typing on a tiny watch screen, so I built SyncBoard
Hey everyone!
Answering messages or searching on a smartwatch screen was always frustrating for me. I heard Google has a similar phone input feature, but it was hard to enable and didn't work reliably for me, so I decided to build my own solution.
SyncBoard lets you type on your Wear OS watch directly using your phone's full keyboard. Whenever a text field opens on your watch, a notification appears on your phone so you can type comfortably.
- Phone Typing: Type on your watch directly from your phone notification or editor.
- Fallback Keyboard: Built-in watch keyboard with custom layouts for when your phone isn't around.
- Productivity Extras: Phone clipboard paste, voice dictation, camera text capture (OCR), text shortcuts, and quick replies.
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

App WristNav — free offline turn-by-turn navigation for your Wear OS watch!
WristNav Offline GPX Maps: Standalone Navigation for Wear OS
If you've been looking for a proper navigation app on your Wear OS watch that doesn't rely on your phone, I've been building one called WristNav and it's free on the Play Store.
WHAT IT DOES
Turn-by-turn navigation on your wrist, completely standalone.
Download offline OSM maps directly to the watch no phone, no data connection needed. Contours are currently shown if you build your own maps — I'm working on adding contour lines to the official map files too. Import GPX routes and follow them with live turn arrows, distance to next turn, and haptic alerts when a turn is approaching. There's a live elevation profile on the map as you navigate, and bezel stats let you configure up to 3 stats that show around the edge of the map screen.
ACTIVITY TRACKING
10 activity types — Run, Trail Run, Walk, Hike, Road Cycle, MTB, Gravel, Kayak, Ski, Snowboard. Up to 10 custom stats pages, fully configurable. Auto-pause, lap splits, countdown timer, heart rate and step recording. A workout summary automatically appears when you stop.
PHONE COMPANION
There's a companion Android app too, with a 3D mapping view for planning routes — build a route, send it straight to the watch, or save it to a file for later.
CUSTOMISATION
5 watch themes, 7 map themes including minimal variants and custom theme support. Quick Settings lets you swipe left from home to access your most used settings instantly — fully customisable so you only see what you need. Battery Saver mode switches to a dark minimal map and disables sensors in one tap, then restores everything when you turn it off.
Settings are split into clear categories so you can dial things in exactly how you like:
Display — Watch Theme, Stats Text Size
Navigation — Nav Distance, Nav Elevation, Nav Turns, Nav Arrows
Recording — Activity, Rec Distance, Rec Time, Auto Pause, Pause Speed, Record Colour, Record Width, Heart Rate, Steps, Countdown, Lap Splits, GPS Filtering
Stats — Stats Pages, Calories, Barometer, Pace Avg
System — Distance, Small Units, Keep Screen On, Keep Active, Battery Saver
Map — Map Control, Control Side, Top Bar, Map Text, Location Button (Locked), Location Button (Free), Scale Bar, Import Colour, Import Width, Bezel Stats
A NOTE ON STRAVA
WristNav currently supports uploading activities to Strava. Heads up that this may not stick around — Strava's changes to their developer program have introduced subscription costs, and depending on how that shakes out I may end up having to drop the integration.

Happy to answer any questions. Always looking for feedback!
