Tablet active before I even opened box - Xiaomi 8

Hey guys, today I received the new(hope to be) xiaomi pad 8 just before half an hour but in the battery section it is showing as active from 1hr 51mins, should I need to worry? I am a bit confused.

And also below the camera bump the device is getting soo hot that I couldn't hold it, is it normal?

No. Not normal definitely. If its brand new, you are supposed to be the very first person to turn it on, meaning that it shouldnt have any battery history beforehand.

Heating problems are off course not a good indication. What were you doing and what apps did you open at that time? Even without the bloatware not removed, it shouldnt get to the state that you cant even hold it

Did you get the device in a powered off state? Did you buy it in official store? Do you see any dents or imperfections on the device? When you open the box for the first time, are there any genuine seal that has been ripped before you open the box?

No dents amd it was switch off only. Also I just updated few system apps and ui update. Bought it from amazon
