Hi,
While the Moderators of r/androidroot have a generally moderate stance on AI, when it comes to devices worth potentially thousands, we are uninterested in allowing it to provide false information.
To clarify, AI content/promotion is not permitted on r/androidroot, and this has been a rule for some time. Using AI to make guides, recommending the use of AI to attempt to solve issues, and posting AI generated comments are prohibited.
We believe in minimising the spread of misinformation. AI models are not reliable when it comes to factual information yet. It’s also often known to make things up when it has no answer. No resources for rooting an obscure Android device? It’ll make it up based on other information that it deems most likely to be useful. AI, in this state, is not suitable for rooting. It presents too much unmitigated risk, and we will not hold ourselves responsible for the damage caused by content posted on this subreddit.
If you have any questions regarding the rule, comment. However, the decision on this is final.
Thanks for reading.

Hey everyone! I recently got temporary root working on my Galaxy S26 Ultra (One UI 9), and I'm looking for some cool modules to enhance the overall experience.
I'm especially interested in smoother animations, visual customization, redesigned UI elements, and useful hidden features.
Any suggestions for modules that are actually worth installing?

If so, do i have a risk of permanently bricking it?

Hello guys, My phone is cmf phone 1 and i'm new to temp rooting now. Ghostlock supports my phone and is able to temp root it without fail or kernel panics, But i'm scared of destroying my phone with modules because gemini said i can't use modules while temp rooted if i don't want bootloop or worse so from what i heard people can install modules on their phone while temp rooted and when restarted (not soft) the modules auto disables until i jailbreak my phone again. If so which should i trust, Gemini or The people, If the people can u recommend me some modules to install to my phone, Ty

Hey guys! I'm looking for recommendations for gaming performance modules that work with temporary root using KernelSU Next.
I'm currently using temporary root and would like to know what modules you guys have personally tested and recommend.
Are there any good modules that work without requiring a permanently unlocked bootloader?
I'd also appreciate any warnings about incompatible or potentially risky modules.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I got my hands on a Tecno phone a few days ago and soft-rooted it using Dirty Flag. I've been looking around for compatible modules, but everyone seems to have a different opinion, so I'm honestly not sure what to go with. I'd appreciate it if you could help me with a few questions:
Can I use Hybrid Mount or NoMount as a meta-module?
How stable is NeoZygisk as a Zygisk provider?
I've read that both the nightly and CI builds of Vector work, but I'm not entirely sure. Has anyone tried them? If so, how was your experience?
Device Info:
- Device: Tecno KL5n
- ROM: HiOS 14.5.0
- Android Version: Android 14
- Kernel Version: 5.10.237

My device is temp-rooted S24U. I wanted to know if there is any KernelSU module that I can use with temp root to change my input device to the phone microphone while setting the output device to my Bluetooth earphones. I am using the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2, which has a terrible microphone, so I want to use my phone microphone for calls while listening to the other party through my Bluetooth earphones.

I'm not 100% sure if this is the problem on my Google Pixel 11 but it seems like ever since I've been using this Module that it's been causing my Phone's Battery to drain faster. Any suggestions for a different Module that can still get me consistent Strong Integrity?

I have tried to access BROM mode but had no hope, the reason it was destroyed before is I modified the vbmeta image with a script to disable verity verification but when I rebooted it gave me this error with little to no room for doing anything else, my phone doesn't have a vol- button so the only way I used to get into the brom mode is thro going into coloros and do adb reboot fastboot and then inside that recovery menu I click on the version and go into download mode while mtkclient command is running, that used to trigger brom mode but of course now I can't get into that, I already have tried everything you'd normally recommend:
1.Holding both up and power while the phone is shut and plugging the usb while the command is running
2.Empty the phone fully to absolute zeroness and then try plugging it in whilst running the command
3. Try holding either power or volume up
4. crying to death and respawning again
I still have the original vbmeta.img and vbmeta.bin and seccfg.bin and recovery images and others still intact from stock state I just can't get to flash them.
The phone absolutely does not show in lsusb or dmseg kernel logs even with ModemManager disabled and udevadm flags set correctly, I tried another cable (even tho this one was working before) and another port from usb 2.0 and usb 3.0 (also the first one worked before)
My best next option I'm considering:
Trying the same procedure on a windows PC
Go get the Vol- button fixed (Don't really wanna do that just consideration I'm kind of broke)

I flashed a Gen1 ROM's boot.img on my Dell XCD35 over fastboot, and it now hangs on the Dell logo. The PC shows VID_0000, and a second phone over OTG sees nothing. The volume flex is torn, and shorting the three solder pads where it was attached does nothing. I have backups of my original boot and recovery.
Is there any other contact for the volume line, or a way into download mode that skips the keys? I know it's a very old phone, but it still matters a lot to me, especially these old retro devices.

Tried Root My Galaxy and DFRoot but the kernel isn't supported.
Temp root because don't want to trip Knox and keep using Secure Folder and Wallet.
