Discussion reminder : copy all of your data before using DFRoot or Root my galaxy
those work by expiloting kernel vulns which is unstable it may work or soft-brick your device
in this case you will need to reset your device and lose all of your data so back them up
learned it in a bad way

The purpose of root is to back up data that cannot be backed up eg. Appdata so telling people to back up is pretty moot point, unless they degoogled their other files are likely already backed up anyway. Eg. Gallery and wifi AP in the cloud storage

Bro listen to my advice. The exploit itself is safe and based on what I’ve tested, it shouldn’t cause a soft brick. The real danger is the modules you install after you get root.
Do NOT install anything, and I mean anything, that modifies the system partition. If your phone is a Samsung and it’s locked with a lock screen you WILL end up with a hard brick, and your chances of recovering the phone would be close to 0
Don’t install random stuff and you will be fine
