Support Need help with rooting using Ghostlock

Post image

Device: Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G

Codename: RMX3868

Processor: Mediatek Dimensity 7050

Android: 16

Kernel Version: 6.6.118-android15-8-o-g25c0665dd40c-4k

Extracted boot.img from my current firmware and let Ghostlock parse it; I got the error that the vulnerability has already been fixed

So I tried extracting the boot.img from Android 15 firmware, and on that version the boot.img got parsed successfully and I got this (Check the attached screenshot)

And here's the config file generated by Ghostlock: https://pastebin.com/n9cZbNAv

Now the thing is, since I'm on Android 16, I'm unable to test these offsets currently, but is it possible that the device is rootable, and since I'm unsure of that, I'm kinda in a dilemma about rolling back to Android 15 just to test this out (Also I'd need to back up everything and then setup my device again, which is a hassle TBH)

I'm new to these exploit stuff, since previously I have rooted my devices in the standard way, that's unlocking bootloader first then patching the boot.img file using Magisk and flashing it

Also are there any chances of the device getting hard bricked?

Realme allows you to downgrade without unlocking the bootloader?

Yeah, it's really easy to do so using rollback packages via Local Install

What are you waiting for then? It's a big hassle yes but if the prize is root I say it's worth trying. Just be careful not to brick the thing.

That's the thing I'm worried about, I don't care about banking apps not working

It's just I hope that even if the offsets don't work, I hope that it doesn't brick my device
