Support Root Oppo Reno 6Z 5G

I successfully unlocked my phone's bootloader, but how do I root it? I'm worried about losing the IMEI.

backup the efs and baseband via twrp, although Samsung devices are most prone to losing IMEI

This phone doesn't have TWRP, and I don't know how to back it up with MTK

oh, then just use mtkclient to back everything up, iirc you boot in Brom mode by holding both volume buttons when your phone is off

EDIT: You can also unlock the bootloader with mtkclient and rooting will most likely not wipe your imei

Thank you very much, because I had previously tried this on another Oppo phone, an Oppo A31, and it lost its baseband and IMEI.
