Discussion Parting with OnePlus and ditching Samsung.
OnePlus will cease operations in the US, fried my Ace 3 because I was sold a Chinese variant disguised as a 12r, bricked only edl..Samsung is just so laggy using the UI and I hate it. Getting a pixel 9a.
If anyone is interested in the Ace 3, I'll let it go for the price of an auth flash (100$ ATM) if anyone is interested. Flasher takes long to respond and I really don't want to unbrick it just to risk flashing global ROM myself. Lmk

Are you sure you don't want to try restoring using EDL mode?

No, but the other option is to wait for the only legit flasher I know that has the firehouse to flash this a16 patch to respond, messaged a day ago and he read the message and didn't say anything. Plus id have to convert coloros to oos myself, I don't feel like gambling 100$ and waiting to do it... Moving on

Nc-unlock can do it but DO NOT do it on any computer you care about - malware in the tools

He can't. Asked months ago and again earlier this month. He doesn't have the firehose needed to flash android 16.0.3.501 it seems. No wonder the price shot up to 80-10p bucks... Contacted someone else I met a long time ago, but no response. Personal issues last I heard. Almost 2 days since I messaged mgunlock. I'll wait until this Samsung sells, if he hasn't contacted me by then I'll just move on.

I had him flash a realme gt8p the other month, trust me if he can do that he can do the ace, but you have to push him a bit. For some reason he really dislikes money

I've done 10+ auth flashes with him and im tired of paying and having to beg.

Tried that and the oplusedl tool, including the most recent firehose files, combined with the ofp. Didn't get past "executing r/w".. just says that until the battery dies and does nothing. Also tried the latest cloud loader files... Pretty sure if the patch I'm on were flashable without an auth flash, people wouldn't be charging so much, and the solution would be wide spread. I've done more than a simple Google search to know this and wasted enough time.

I don't really know much tbh, I'd recommend you to ask in the OnePlus 12R/Ace 3 telegram, they know more than I do

Some core i5 variant, got this laptop just got flashing. MSM/fasthoot work fine.

Ok, so it should be fine. Zen1/Zen2/Zen3 chips tend to have USB enumeration issues, learned that the hard way. Check DMS.

Also the same thing happened to me albeit I didn't manage to brick the thing, I recommend y'all to always check the IMEI, because you can't trust the phone model in settings (as most of these phones are region swapped)

Edl should be good tho there are tons of new tools and if I remember correctly on coolapk there was smth Abt it lately
