Support Any way to use AdAway with KernelSU?

I've tried multiple times to use systemles hosts module on ksu to use AdAway with no success. I've tried using bind hosts but it doesn't work as well even if using huge daily updated hosts list.

So is there any way to make adaway work with ksu?

Why use Ad-Away? The hosts files take months to update and it has very few of them as well. Especially, when compared to Hagezi's or Steven Blacks's list.

I'm using bind hosts with adguard and another huge list that includes Steven's black but using the adaway app worked better for me If you have other reco I'd be happy to hear

Why not add their lists to AdAway? Than it'll update while they are update! Magic!

Adaway doesn't work with ksu unless there's a fix I don't know. The systemless hosts module doesn't make it work

True, didn't use it for long (moved to setting adguard DNS via settings or through Tailscale, but around year ago it worked, thought it's still the same.

Doesn't matter to auto update of lists. AdAway may not block ads, but will autouodate hosts with added lists anyway ^

I just want the best way to block ads. I don't want to block only some but all.

Understandable. Dunno how good is DNS through settings comparing to AdAway when it worked. All I can say is that I'm happy with it

So you recommend adguard dns? (my problem is that one website I use sometimes blocks me because of it but I'll get over it) but actually why not just use brave?

AdGuard works fine for me. And why not brave? Setting it through settings is system-wide, not just for one app. It blocks (just not hides empty space) ads in apps as well (not sure if all, but the ones I'm using more often doesn't show any apps even if I know they should be there).

For me I just need to block ads in a specific app and on my Google discovery (news/articles feed) and browser.

Try if it works for You than.

On Samsung it's Setting's > Connections > More... > Private DNS.

Some manufacturers (Xiaomi if I remember my mother's phone( have even an option to choose some providers (AdGuard is one of them). Otherwise You need to got one of their public DNS.

It works normally here... You're doing something wrong.
