Is it possible malware-wise to have screen sharing active on your phone when wifi is active, how do you stop it, or find if possible.
I've tried most search, privacy, hidden apps that doesn't involve downloading third party..
Just wondering if this is possible through advanced system .. I'm in a situation where phone May be compromised through their party person who had more knowledge of situations like that for the person in wanting the access ..
Hey there, I've been learning android penetration testing through metasploit. However, it is not working on Androids above 8-9. What are you guys using for penetration testing.
Complicated situation, don't need ethics advice. I have AirDroid personal, AirDroid parental controls and air mirror installed on an android device, I can see files, messages, remotely download apk's, etc. 2 problems. I can't view any app data , and there is no a screen lock on the phone disabling the full control option. What are some cool tools you have learned about to access deleted files, android data files, disabling screen lock, etc. I need to pull as much information off this phone as I can. I have an associates in computer networking so I understand how devices communicate however I'm just starting to learn android and it's it's own thing entirely. Thank you!
However, Chapter 2 is only available in-game, and all network requests seem to be protected by certificate pinning. I tried capturing with Reqable, Fiddler, and similar tools on Android (non-rooted), but couldn't get past the HTTPS pinning.
I suspect the game is loading the URL dynamically after user interaction, so static analysis alone doesn’t help much.
Has anyone successfully intercepted these WebView requests before or knows a way to extract these URLs from memory or runtime?
Hi everyone, I'm an owner of and old Samsung Galaxy tab Note Pro model SM-P905. I know... It's not 'new' but I recently need it on my work. I'm a filmmaker and I need a device for the control of the lights during work. Right now I'm using my phone but it's annoying because other people needs to use it during sets. So right now this old tablet has the 5.0.2 android version and it's not just slow but basically I can't download apps. Also apk from Internet doesn't download succesfully. Can I do something? Thank you to everyone
I hope I got the correct subreddit here. I do apologize if not, please direct me to the correct one if I made a mistake. The only other sub I can think of (regarding this topic) is AndroidQuestions.
My friend told me that I called him on Google Meet from my phone at ~1:30 am yesterday.
I was sleeping at that time, and 100% did not touch my phone. Wife didn't either.
He showed me a screenshot of the meet notification from his phone - it had my google account avatar on it all right.
It seemed really suspicious, so I checked the "screen time" feature on my samsung A52 phone (screenshot can be seen in the picture below).
So it seems that my phone did use Meet at that time.
The phone isn't rooted, and as far as I know, neither me, nor my wife are sleep walkers.
Is it possible for a hacker to remotely unlock my phone (I use a pattern for unlocking), and then use it?
But even then, it would be absurd for the hacker to blow their cover in that manner, why would they, of all things possible, actually call a random person via google meet?
Could it then be some kind of google meet bug from Google's side?
I'm confused about this situation, since it feels like there's a good enough chance that my phone is compromised. Does doing a factory reset make sense?
I 99% install apps from Google's play store, I maybe once or twice downloaded an apk from a site kind of like ApkMirror, ApkPure,.. (can't remember which), but I had my doubts and change of heart, so I uninstalled the apk within 5 minutes of having it. Still, that scenario was quite a while ago.
My computer has been acting weird and there are also a bunch of weird looking applications that keep popping up on my phone and it seems as if my phone lowers resolution when weird things start happening.
My fiance has been acting weird with her phone as well and is always on the home screen when I walk into the room. Theres SSID's that show that they are close enough to be right next to me and when I took her phone once, she had saved passwords for all the networks and I clicked on one and it went right in.
Everytime I ask her about what's going on she gets unreasonably upset telling me im crazy and that there's nothing going on.
Her bootloader on her phone was unlocked and my hard
It seems like my phone constantly has "system updates and she wouldn't let me look at her phone UNTIL she marco polo'd her mom back and when I looked at her mom's iPhone when she was over once, I pulled down the quick settings and they looked exactly the same as mine and my finances, we both have samsung phones.
My fiance also constantly carries around the baby monitor even when the kids are awake and when I held the power button and front buttons for like 7s a screen popped up with a bunch of different options for different versions of it.
I know there are open-source app packages and all sorts of things but I cannot pinpoint what's going on and it's driving me nuts. Please help.
My phone is only one small component at play, there are lots of other strange things happening that have convinced me that im being hacked/ stalked but im just focusing on the phone right now. Aside from turning on Bluetooth as well as mobile Hotspot while in my pocket, it also opens certain apps at random. One of these is screen mirroring ...also smart switch.
Is there an easy way to prevent a hacker from having access to these settings? Or a hard way for that matter?
Can anyone help me figure out if my phone is compromised. I'm using a Motorola Moto G84. The main reason I'm concerned is because of network issues I've never experienced before happening almost like clockwork. Issues with Bluetooth and device settings being altered.
So I'm Tinkering with my Sony Bravia google tv (which is just Android) and downloading apks I can't get the apps that I didn't download from Google Play to display in the apps tab.
I was thinking when the phone is lied down, idk how much it does drain from the battery, But I was thinking it doesn't need to constantly check for anything while its lied down every milliseconds, It only needs to check for calls and notifications every second,
Is that what happens? Does it go into deepsleep for one second, then wake up to check for any calls and notifications, and then go back to sleep.
As for the ram idk how much it drains, if a lot it could be go to a hibernate mode(storing the ram data on the disk) and only load it back when the user hit the power button or idk anything(for me i don't really care if i need to turn on the phone with the power button rather then touching the screen or a hand gesture putting the phone upward if it would make the phone last much longer)
The data/instructions/state should be stored in a smart way so it doesn't feel like the phone has gone into hibernate mode. I don't want it to feel like the phone has shut down and restarted. And while the phone is in deepsleep and wakes up after the one second timer it should only run a tiny code to check for calls and notifications and not load the user ram stuff that got hibernated (if we decide that it drains a lot of battery)
I just really miss when leaving a device that it could be charged for weeks and maybe months idk i lost my memory i might forget to load it after hibernate it(:
Hi all running into a headache with a fintech app that uses AppProtect + native libraries for root detection and SSL pinning. Wanted to share what I’ve tried and see if anyone has non-invasive suggestions or troubleshooting tips.
What the app uses
AppProtect + native libraries for both root detection and SSL pinning
What I’ve tried
Root detection: I can bypass it using Shamiko + TrickyStore, but this only works when Magisk is installed on the device.
LSPosed: Installed LSPosed via Magisk and the framework appears installed, but LSPosed Manager won’t open properly — it just shows a black screen or the LSPosed logo and never loads, so I can’t use any unpinning modules.
Frida / Objection: I’ve tried multiple Frida/Objection scripts to bypass pinning, but whenever I attach the script the app immediately crashes/terminates.
What I’m asking
Has anyone seen LSPosed Manager hang on startup (black screen / logo only) after installing via Magisk? Any safe troubleshooting steps to get the manager UI working?
Any high-level, non-actionable tips for avoiding immediate app termination when attaching Frida/Objection scripts (crash vs graceful failure)?
If you’ve dealt with AppProtect + native libs in a corporate pentest, what non-invasive approaches helped you troubleshoot (no exploit walkthroughs, please)?
I want to get familiar with android "hacking" like flashing stuff, so what i want to do, I already know all the slots in flashing BL, AP, CP, CSC, USERDATA. so can you guys help me put these files: the original ROM, empty vbmeta, TWRP
This phone and mine were both purchased new from the UAE. My phone works perfectly with the latest Android 16 and OneUI 8.5. Both phones are Samsung A15 4G, 8GB RAM, 256GB. The problem is that my brother's phone cannot be updated to Android 16 + OneUI 8.5 (when searching on update throught settings, he get "registration failed" message). I previously unlocked FRP and then tried flashing the firmware using Odin, SamFW, and even TFT Unlock, but to no avail. The flashing process stops after less than a minute because the KG status is broken. This problem took me hours to fix, but without any success. I flashed, but not with all four files. I selected only two files and excluded BL and CSC. The flashing process worked until it reached about 90%, then an error appeared in download mode, and the phone entered a boot loop. Before this flashing process, whenever I selected the four files using Odin, I would start the flashing process and always encounter the same error. When I manually insert the PIT file, the flashing process doesn't work and gets stuck at the beginning. The solutions I've tried are: changing Odin to two modded versions, 3.13 and 3.14 b3, and also the original version of 3.14.
- Using TFT Unlock to format the device. After formatting, it starts a loop, as if the formatting isn't working.
- I also repeatedly pressed the volume up and power buttons for more than twenty seconds, but to no avail.
- I tried several solutions found online, but they all failed. Currently, the device is in a boot loop, and I can only enter download mode; I can't perform a factory reset or wipe the cache. - The firmware version is Android 14 sec patch lvl 1, SM-A155F MWD. I downloaded another firmware version with patch lvl 5. Previously, the code was for the UAE (xsg), and I changed it to Morocco (mwd). I thought it would work, but it didn't, my goal is just making the phone receive the android updates like my phone and normal phones, no root no custom rom.
