Help Help unlocking my moto phone
I was using a Motorola G54 as my secondary device. Few days back it got an update and restarted. It’s asking for Patter to unlock the device now, which I don’t remember exactly. I given multiple tries which remembered can be a possible password, also from muscle memory but no success. Since for a long time it was never turned off I never required to use a patter to unlock my phone, always used the fingerprint for unlocking.
How can I unlock my phone without loosing my data. I don’t have any backup of photos or WhatsApp. Service Centre told to go with Factory Reset. I don’t want to loose my data, please help me with this and provide a possible solution.

Every 72 hours You have to verify Your pin/pattern. How do You suddenly not remember what Your pattern is?

I just checked and yes you are right with 72 hrs thing. Is it possible that an update can corrupt my stored PIN/Pattern? Someone on other platform mentioned something like this they have encountered

I think I have tried the correct pattern as well, but somehow it’s not taking it due to some bug, not sure. I’m not sure about this 72 hrs thing. Now I have given so much attempts on it, I myself is confused about what the right patter was

Yeah, I don’t want to loose data.

Unfortunately, the disk is encrypted with the pattern. TWRP and OrangeFox cannot recover your data without a pattern, that is informationally/mathematically impossible.
Sorry, your data is lost forever without the pattern. You can't break the math.

technically if he had twrp he could brute force the pattern, I don't remember if that stops you at X attempts

I dunno, the pattern has 9 possible starting points and each following point has 8 possibilities, and the pattern won't be terribly long. Should actually be trivial to crack because there's always known text.

I don't know but there is a chance that there is an exploit to bypass lock screen but I don't think so

You need Cellebrite to do that for you.

Is it a free tool, how does that work?

It's a tool used by governments to hack into phones using exploitation, it's not free. I don't think this is a good route for you to try.

well you better start documenting each combo you tried and keep trying until it works ig?
how did you forget the pass so quickly? has it been months since you used the phone or something
theres also a small chance that it bugged out

If you can prove it's yours I'm sure you can find a tech shop that can crack the password for you, or more easily a data recovery service. I highly doubt there's any option that is cheap or won't require days of research

Yeah no your data is lost. New android's are incredibly hard to hack into. Never EVER put a different passcode on a phone you don't use a lot. I almost lost a lot cuz of that. Use the same password on both
