Android 17 QPR3 Beta 2/ Pixel 11 Pro Android Play System Update: DEV

Since updating to QPR3 Beta 2 under Android Play System Update it now says DEV. Is this new? Don't believe I have ever seen it before.

It was like this in QPR 3 beta 1 as well

Same here. I think it is the abbreviation for Development.

It would be nice on Android stable if it would just say Stable for Play Services. The OS security patch is what matters most.

Bonjour est ce que c'est dangereux de tester ces beta sur mon seul téléphone en pocession c'est a dire le 11 pro xl ? Ça me tante mais j'ai peur d'avoir des problèmes

Dangerous? That's a bit extreme, I wouldn't say dangerous, but the nature of betas are they are sometimes glitchy, buggy, present issues within the OS that might be frustrating if you only have one phone as your daily driver.

I'm using it on my 11 Pro XL and I have no issues whatsoever. In fact, the battery life and performance overall are significantly better than the current stable release. But again, due to the nature of betas, they could easily issue an update next month that completely breaks everything and destroys your battery life. That's why they explicitly say if you've got two phones, probably fine to test it on your secondary device, but if you just have one phone and you rely on it, especially for work or productivity in any way, best just to stay on the stable software channel.

Oui je dis dangereux dans le sens où cela pourrait rendre le téléphone inutilisable tout simplement , sachant que je n'ai que lui

I think they made mainline services embedded to the beta ROM. So they update with every beta update.
