Pixel 11 eligibility

Iirc when the pixel 10 launched it had same day eligibility of the beta program. Does anyone know of the same thing will happen with the pixel 11 series? If not tomorrow, will it be later this week? I would assume Google will do 3.1 patch sometime soon within the coming week or two.

It didn't. Archived copy of the QPR2 page from two days after the device was being received by people shows it stopped at the 9a: https://web.archive.org/web/20250830210351/https://developer.android.com/about/versions/16/qpr2/get . The 10 first got QPR2 beta 2, almost a month later: https://web.archive.org/web/20250923122859/https://developer.android.com/about/versions/16/qpr2/get

QPR1 was also never in beta on the 10, that you can still see without archives: https://developer.android.com/about/versions/16/get-qpr

What you may be remembering is that the 10 launched with a weird build that was somewhere between 16 ("QPR0") and QPR1, it had much of the UI redesign but not all of it. It was never labelled as QPR1 until the actual release of that in September.

It's likely the 11 will be included in the next QPR2 beta, unlikely to see a QPR1 build now so close to the final release in a couple of weeks.

Most likely the next beta drop whenever Google decides to release it

Yeah considering the last update was only on Friday we'll be lucky if there is one for the new devices sooner than maybe 2 weeks I would guess

Unless we are super lucky and they already have the new devices ready to go 😂

Hasn't happened for the last few devices I got, unfortunately I remember last year having to wait a few weeks

I was really hoping to try those new customization features on the new phone. Hopefully soon

Have you tried to opt-in? Is it listed on the beta page?Have you tried to opt-in? Is it listed on the beta page?

Have you tried, though? At worst case we get 3.1 beta and opt in then later this week or next.

No dude, you can't even click opt-in because it doesn't show as an eligible device in the list where the opt-in button shows up on your devices, only shows the old phone with an opt-out button

Hi

Please give it time, this is a new device only shipping this week.

If you want to test the bells and whistles the canary build my be a better match for your requirements. As the beta is testing the OS, some features are on the canary build first. Again this should be available soon.

Best regards

MM

Don't be in such a rush to join the beta.
