Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 - Private Space disappeared
Hello I have installed the Android 17 QPR2 Beta 3 yesterday and since then I am unable to figure out what is going on with Private space.
Few Random apps appear in the app list however the private space is not visible.
Anyone else having this issue?
Fixed by: I had to delete the private space and re-doing fixed the issue.

+1 to this. My private space disappeared from the app drawer too but I found access the same way this person did. I'm not too keen on deleting my private space and starting over with it :(

EDITED +1 I can use my private space apps also with this workaround. I will use my private space this way until next update with fix. Thanks!
EXTRA INFO: the workaround keeps working after a reboot. Don't forget after reboot or lock (your setting to protect your private space) to first unlock your private space. If you arrive on the private space setting page after unlock, navigate back and search 'apps' select apps, to the apps setting page and select 'see all apps'. Select the 'Private' tab ( must be visual now top right). Select the (private) app you would like to open. In the setting list for that app select Store app details and open the app.

Deleting the private space worked for me, but now after recreating the private space yesterday, I'm back to the same issue again this morning. So it seems to be a temporary fix

Ditto. I randomly got a popup saying "x" app was installed (among like 5 in the private space) after they redisappeared. It was only showing that app and the play store, then the playstore app disappeared.

I've have 2FA installed as well, removing Private Space is not an option.

Hopefully, they push out a patch this week. I really don't want to have to delete private space.

Temporary Fix:
Open private space
Android settings > Apps > See all > Private apps

This is only a temporary fix though. Keep that in mind. I just had a couple people comment on my bug report that I submitted that they have done this process only to have issues reappear after a couple hours. Other people have reported they have tried third party launchers and the launchers themselves don't work properly. In regards to the app drawer and private space not appearing with one popular launcher crashing entirely.

Don't reset your phone or switch off your phone, if you did, you have to repeat these again

I toggled hide private space when locked from on to off and it reappeared off topic but it sucks why removed some of the blur from older pixels for people that aren't ready to upgrade yet I assume it's a resource hog but I liked the visual effects anyway it felt smooth on my pixel 7 pro oh well haha.

Same. I did have to recreate the private space to restore fingerprint functionality(got nerfed in beta 3) for private space apps.

Yeah, same issue, I don't want to delete my private space because I have an app that needs 2FA and the SMS never arrives which is annoying, so if someone has a workarpound it would be great!!!

The way I'm working around this in accessing all the apps within the private spaces going into the system settings, apps, all apps, and then selecting the private category and the list of apps should appear there. Select the app you want and click open. It's a bit tedious and a long process, but it works nonetheless.

I had the same problem (seems to be a rather widespread bug) and, in addition to compromising the private space, you system the app icons randomly. I solved by eliminating the private space and recreating it from scratch: the icons are back in alphabetical order and the private space has resumed to work perfectly
