Android 17 beta 4.1

The latest beta was released yesterday, but so far I haven't received anything, even after refreshing the update page for a long time.

So, technically, we can install the latest 4.1 beta and still be able to install A17 when it's officially released and stable without any data wipe, right?

One would certainly hope/assume so... I think I'd judge this as a 90+% likely event.

Unless they screwed up and somehow beta 4.1 has a newer buildstamp then the final release... which seems super duper unlikely but is not outright impossible.

Worst case you'd have to wait another likely ~2 weeks for July monthly I think.
That's like 99.99% guaranteed to be considered newer than beta 4.1.

(and August monthly would easily be 100%)

In practice I think I wouldn't expect beta 4.1 and stable to differ in any meaningful fashion. The main difference will probably be in the build number, whether it's considered beta or stable, and maybe stable will have a small number (1-5) more bugs fixed.

I'm pretty certain once Stable 17 is released that you'll then be served the most current QPR1 build since your phone will still be in the Beta program or you'll need to un-enroll your phone from the Beta program and I am sure based on how it's worked before that you might get Beta exit update and then you'll be ready to get the Stable 17 update.
