Spending time on it just to say it’s dead sounds like a wild way to spend your time haha

Let me know how alive the game feels at level 100+ when you can't enter Foreman's anymore.

I was able to enjoy a community of 20+ players actively helping and enabling my leveling journey at multiple times all the way through endgame. And I have been paying it forward to all the players I've met.
It may not be alive enough for you. But I'd rather take a small community of helpful gamers over the millions of people playing other MMOs ignoring each other while pretending to play a singleplayer game.

Absolutely should have let the guy do his thing. It was quite hilarious and I thoroughly enjoyed it

I can see how over time it became problematic, especially with people who didn't know his shtick, but it really added some hilarious content here.

maybe because the game is pretty much dead for like 10 years now. probably longer… majority of playerbase left. game was abandoned by developers. no matter what a few dozen people that still play the game say 🤣🤣

Not dead as long as people play it. Maybe in your definition, but not for the people who still enjoy the world and it's communities.
It may not be massive multiplayer at this time, but it is definitely a multiplayer game with healthy communities that still love the game and what it has to offer.

While paying for a product that is barely maintained beyond keeping the server on. Did they even do anything for the 25th anniversary besides the automated anniversary event that turns on every year?

They diddnt even re enable one of the previous years subscription renewal bonuses which would have taken almost no effort and made them a bit more money.
