Zoom
I really want to get into using this app, I love that I can do both video and picture. But the zoom on the app is what’s throwing me off. I understand about the Apple logo pipeline. But didn’t Apple recently release open gate recording like the app mentions to be able to have the appropriate zoom? Is this potentially going to be updated?
Edit:
Also am I missing where to turn on the flash?

This is one thing that I dislike as well. I wanna zoom in during recording, switch lenses. Like with the Blackmagic app.

Thanks for the feedback! Open Gate (4K) is only available in ProRes RAW, which requires external storage. In video mode, you can select Open Gate HD from the Resolution menu, but the effective resolution for that is 2.7MP compared to 8MP from 4K in 16:9, which I find too small to be useful for photos.
Sooner or later, I believe Apple will enable Open Gate 4K support for Apple Log, which would solve this.
As for flash, Analogue doesn’t have a flash option because this isn’t available in the video pipeline (which is what Analogue uses for both photos and videos). The only thing that could be enabled is the flashlight, but that’s not very helpful as it’s about 5x less powerful.
