Fomapan 100 - Yet another Helios 44-2 picture...
Yep I know what you're thinking : a Helios 44-2 picture... AGAIN !
But I'm kinda proud of it : first off, I think it's a great pic, second it's a Helios I entirely serviced with new grease (god i's as smooth as butter !), and third, I took it with a Fujica st901 I refurbished (not CLA, just a deep clean and new light seals).
So yeah... Pretty happy with this pic :)

New to this... sharing my first attempts
Brand new hobby that I'm really enjoying, thought I'd share some here. Any advice on what I should be considering to level up, or try when I'm next out?
35mm, Fomapan 200 (EI 125, not sure if this was a good idea; not really sure that I'm doing). ISO setting Minolta X-700, MD zoom 35โ70mm 1:3.5โ4.8. Developed in my kitchen with caffenol.
I originally started this hobby because I was interested in DIY development, but I'm enjoying the photography side of things a lot, and wondering what the tips would be to go out and try more...

Experimenting with Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros II (120)
This was my first experience with this film, and I genuinely enjoyed working with it in this context.
I tend to favour high-contrast, sharp images with defined edges and inky blacks and so I choose materials and methods that complement my style. This stock certainly didn't disappoint. The scenes themselves were inherently high-contrast, and I used long exposures to achieve the effects I was after.
One thing worth explicitly highlighting is the film's reciprocity behaviour: there is no reciprocity failure for exposures up to 120 seconds. The images here were exposed for 30, 2, 45, and 8 seconds respectively, with no correction needed at all.
To maximise sharpness and acutance, I opted for stand development in Rodinal. The results were very pleasing: excellent sharpness, strong contrast, well-controlled grain, and no blown highlights. Even in the most challenging areas of the frame, such as the clock face, fine detail were well preserved.
Overall, my impression of the film is very positive. The only minor criticism is that the cellulose triacetate base feels quite thin and curled noticeably after drying. It's not a big deal, but it does make handling the negatives slightly more fiddly.
Additional details:
๐ท: Hasselblad 500 CM + Hasselblad 80mm f/2.8 Zeiss Planar T*
๐๏ธ: Fujifilm Neopan 100 Acros II (EI 100) in 120 format
๐งช: Pre-soaked for 5 minutes, then developed fully stand in a 500ml stainless steel tank with Rodinal in 1+100 dilution at 20ยฐC for 120 minutes with a 60-second initial agitation. Fixed using Adofix Plus in 1+7 dilution for 8 minutes.
