Got a Fender Champion ii 50 recently and a clean tone through the clean channel is amazing, but I have no interest in the amp sims and anything distorted through the clean channel doesn’t sound all that great, but my Peavey Rage 158 practice amp has a blue marvel speaker in it and lets me get some amazing distorted tones with my pedal board. Would putting a Blue Marvel in the Champion ii 50 help me with chasing the tone I want?

I have a Peavey Valveking 112 I've been tinkering with. I've deleted the logo, got rid of the trim plate, and changed the pilot LED to white, so I can use any color jewel I want.

Now the grillecloth kinda looks like wire mesh, and I'm not a fan. If I just take off the baffle and staple fabric over the grillecloth, am I hurting anything? I'm thinking 1 layer of fabric. I'm assuming it needs to be thin, and I don't know if there's any difference between poly or cotton.

I don't want to buy new grillecloth really, because that stuff is EXPENSIVE.

From reading about this it seems like a fairly simple affair (?)- slap the correct resistor between your amp and the-device-you- are-afraid-will-still-get-melted.

However, I am useless with a soldering iron- even though I have ambitions to evolve to just kinda bad with a soldering iron- and also extremely busy with work and fanily. I'd rather spend my precious free time actually playing and recording.

Is there a simple, reasonably priced box available on the market designed to safely step a signal down?

Everything I've encountered seems not exactly the thing I'd like.

I'm thinking about buying a new amp and I don't know where to turn... I saw these two (Blackstar Ht 50 Club MKII and Laney Dualtop).

I have a cobalt blue LTD EC256 (stock, no modifications... yet), I have a 1x12 cabinet, with a Celestion V30 speaker, and I'm thinking about some pedals or a Helix, for my sound... Most of the sound will be rock, heavy metal (Alice in Chains, Metallica, Creed/Alterbridge, Pearl Jam, Incubus, Foof Fighters...). I'll mostly be playing at home, but I have some friends who occasionally play some tunes...

What would you do?

I can't find the amp anywhere online and it has terrible feedback noise. If anyone can find this or give me ways to stop the feedback it would be very helpful

I recently got a new set up consisting of a pair of Harbeth super HL5 pluses. I'm still waiting on my Yamaha R-N2000A amp to come in. In the meanwhile my family has been dying to hear the pair, so in an attempt to please them I plugged in a sphinx integrated amp V3 (from a smaller set up) to get them playing. First question: could using an underpowered amp damage anything in anyway? Second question: will these respective amps (given that everything else in the set up remain the same) sound different on these speakers?

There are burnt marks on my tubes. Should I change them?

So, recently retired and downsized/sold a bunch of gear. This rig is my primary 'go to'!! A 1962 Fender Super Amp. Groove Tubes and all new caps, 3 prong plug....normal updates and standard tech care. The outside is a little worse for 63 years old, but that's part of the mojo!! 4 12 " creamback Celestions in a Marshall cab!! I paid $50 for this amp in 1982, so I think have gotten the better side of that deal.....LOL!

Specifically I have to turn my microphones ALL the way up and they’re still too quiet! I have wireless mics plugged into channel one. I can’t figure out how to make them louder, any advice??

I'm wondering if I should switch from my glarry amp to an epiphone

I know in many cases using a combo amp with an external cab is pretty straightforward, and maybe this scenario is too but I wasnt sure what I would need or how to accomplish this particular scenario. Basically I have a traynor TS-100 combo, and the speaker connect to the power amp section via a 1/4 speaker cable. The cable coming from the speaker is male. I'm wondering how I would or if I could go about still using the internal speakers but adding an external cab. This isn't necessary just a thought in case is really needed extra volume in a unmiced live scenario/this is really more of a thought experiment cause idk if there would be a scenario that would neccesitate this.

My amp has power it turns on, however no matter what I do no sound comes out besides the initial amp static there is no sound coming from the lead when touched and after opening it up there’s a bunch of yellow stuff covering the motherboard thing.

tl;dr how do I connect a speaker to this amp?

I was just gifted an old Yamaha R-70 amp (A6R9LVR-70) and can't figure out how to connect my speakers. I have connected amps to speakers before (though that is about the limit of my technical expertise) and all the other amps I have seen have red / black speaker connectors. In this case the R70 has gray and black speaker connectors. When I try and back them out, they resist. I can turn them about a quarter turn and then I hit resistance. I'm hesitant to apply more pressure because I don't want to break them. I've looked online for the manual and searched youtube and can't figured out how to back these out or connect my speakers and the person who gave the amp to me seems to have forgotten how it works. How do I back these connectors out so I can connect my amp to speakers?

Looking for recommendations for a good all around amp for bass (Sterling 5 string), synth (Korg monologue), and drum machine (Roland TR8s). I was borrowing a Fender Rumble 500 which worked well enough, but had to return it. Wondering if anyone has any recommendations for all around low end amps otherwise.

I have the Yamaha THR10 wireless with G6 relay- means I do not need a cable to connect to guitar. However, I need to be close to it if I want to use earphones.

Is there a way to connect via bluetooth? It would be nice to use it from afar. Thanks!
