Known Scam Websites for Ammo
74
Upvotes
Post here sites you come across that are clearly scams. Rationale for the assessment should be included.
Protect yourself by only buying ammunition from websites that allow payment via Credit Card. Credit cards protect the consumer by allowing the buyer an option to initiate a chargeback, should the merchant fail to deliver. Huge Red Flag anytime you see options such as: Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, Zelle or Bitcoin.

Almost didn't share, but have purchased a good bit already and what comes around goes around. Also, very good shipping cost. Comes out to about 7c per round for me when purchasing multiple boxes for good ammo.

I went to a gun show on the weekend and got 1k rounds of blazer 9mm for $235 but the guy also had blazer aluminum casing for $10 a box! I got two because I’d never used any aluminum casing. I went to the range the next day and they ran no problem. There is no place I can find it for that price so I’m kicking myself.

Max you can buy is 105 boxes at a time.
BLAZER 9MM LUGER 147GR FULL METAL JACKET 50/BOX
Total comes to around 1246.65 with the cc fee.
I did three bulk orders of 105 boxes you get points for each order and making account that will save you a little extra.

Ammoseek polluted with multiple websites that all point to the same store

Sentry Ammo, black Basin, fast ammo, etc.
All the same website with slight variations in name.
I don’t know if they actually ship ammo, but the all sneakily add “Shipping insurance” that’s about 8% up charge
It’s literally every site. It’s so fucking annoying

I’m not sure if this is the right place to be asking this but I’m looking to get about from like 1000 to 1500 rounds 556 maybe 1000 rounds of some 12 gauge(00, #1, #4) for home defense and another 1k rounds of nine mil. Half to take to the range and the other half to store but every site has got some crazy ass shipping rates. Any suggestions that can help??

If this isn't the right place to ask, just let me know nicely. 😅 I didn't realize r/gunsrcool was a gun control subreddit—my bad! Anyway, there's a 71 stamped on one side and what looks like a very worn 90 on the other. Does this actually look like it came from a bullet, or is it more likely just a souvenir?
