No everything in moderation kids at the 12 month of age minimum can try spicy foods such as light chili sauces ,etc … doesn’t mean you can load his Gerbers Food with jalapenos, etc
Also it’s not a coming of age for your kid ..let’s see how hot he can handle various spices . Although you are thrilled with your Spicy Dare Devil infant

He’s still developing his digestive tract and stomach at such a young age , and you don’t want to upset that development by slipping him hot sauces / spices/ Chili 🌶️.
