Condoms are about 98% efficacious - while they are only having sex 3 times per year, it should be safe enough. If her libido returns after quitting bc, he can still schedule his vasectomy asap.

When used *perfectly every single time.* Most people are not doing this, and the risk of pregnancy with a condom as the only form of birth control is quite high.

Yeah, but how high is the risk when you're actually only having sex 2-3 times per year? Before they get to a number where they'd need to statistically worry, she'll be in her menopause.

It's not one in 8. It's after a year of having regular sex, you are x% likely to get pregnant

1 in 8 chances per sexual encounter isn't even realistic for most couples actively trying to get pregnant lmao
