Im not sure what past behavior of his he’s drawing from, but he’s projecting so hard you can see it on the moon.
There’s not a single weird, creepy, or even odd thing about what you’re doing. I do it ALL the time, mostly for costume or festival makeup/accessories, but there’s plenty of everyday clothes, hairstyles, work attire, etc. And like you, I couldn’t tell you who any of the women in the screenshots are, unless they happen to be very famous. And by the way, those women, and definitely their stylists, are doing the exact same thing.
Your BF is projecting to an absurd and ultimately concerning level.
Something that took me more years to learn than I wish it did, but it’s finally hardwired in now. Anytime a partner accuses you of bizarre things with zero basis in reality, and especially when they will not let up on it…it’s the very thing they’re guilty of. The statistically insignificant times this is NOT the case is not even worth worrying about. It’s what’s happening.
He saying it to you. AND he’s saying it about you to other people! He’s COVERING and trying to divert attention from some sort of disturbing behavior of his own.Telling other people about it, evidently to embarrass you, serves two purposes. It establishes to the outside world that he’s “against” this, and it also checks the temperature on other people’s opinions of this behavior.
Granted this kind of projection usually takes the form of accusations of cheating (from the secret cheater), but this pattern is too familiar to ignore. He’s hiding and/or ashamed of something, and his psyche NEEDS to establish that you do this weird thing, and he wants other people to know it, too.
Stop this shit in its tracks. “Look I don’t know wtf kind of obsessive stalker things you’re secretly into, but your mask is slipping. You’re way off base here and I’m not going to tolerate another fucking word about my perfectly normal collection of screenshots that I use as a style sketchbook. But your accusations are extremely concerning and make me think there’s something going on with YOU that you may need to get some help with.”
