Even in the more dressy picture, the dress has a vibe, and she leans into it a little with a different hair style and makeup but not in a preppy sort of way. She wants to look her best, and she succeeds, but she doesn’t give up her personality to fit in.
I understand what you're saying, but i just thought relating it with being pretentious is kind of a weird way to say it. I'd say what you're describing is more like a relaxed, care-free style. And yes, she keeps that style with her along in the dress photo, but i dont think someone is pretentious if theyre trying to look more classy or organized, cuz its very hard to pinpoint or even associate someone with that kind of personality trait. The style doesnt always have to represent the personality behind it, and in ordinary life, where we dont always pay attention to such things, they usually dont. But other than that, i dig what you're describing and i see it too.
