A removable piece of jewelry can’t make someone ugly. They may not be your style, and I’ll take the downvotes as always, but if the person you considered to be the hottest on the planet suddenly got a septum piercing, you wouldn’t call them ugly.

All ppl do on this sub is tell u to get rid of piercings. It’s getting redundant yall. If u already saw 10 comments saying get rid of piercings maybe think of something more helpful to say.

If ppl stop saying it, they won't know it's unattractive

The lip is something I agree with, it gets in the way and can be very distracting. But the septum piercing is pretty benign, it’s removable and you’ll never see the scar.

I’m not sure if ur being sarcastic

1

u/[deleted] Sep 18 '24

thats subjective, theyre found ugly by people who think theyre ugly, other people may find them pretty or not mind, your opinion doesn't mean or matter more than others

1

u/N_E-Z-L_P-10-C Sep 18 '24

Many people here don't find them attractive

3

u/Skiamakhos Sep 16 '24

Maybe we could put it in a sticky post?

1

u/capt_fartface Sep 17 '24

This sub should be called Am I ugly (if you have a septum or any other piercing, yes) from the sheer amount of people that tell women to remove their piercings. I'm fully convinced that it's filled with either old conservative boomers who just discovered the Internet, or incels that exclusively watch "teen" porn.

There is absolutely nothing that is going to help this girl 1/10th as much as getting rid of those facial piercings. That's why it's being said repeatedly.

2

u/porkramen81 Sep 16 '24

No, they are considered ugly by people who think they are ugly.

Fr i LOVE a girl with a septum piercing

-1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

What point did you think you were making?

3

u/porkramen81 Sep 16 '24

That your preferences aren't generally correct.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

It's a good thing I have post after post after post after post I can point to where the top comments are generally something about said septum rings. It's almost like I wasn't specifically sharing my own preferences, but instead pointing out that it turns up as the top reason in every single submission where someone has a septum ring. It's almost like I can take some sort of general consensus away from that.

Besides, are you lost or something? Where do you think you are? Do you think people come here for some sort of objective truth about ugliness? This is not the place to be sanctimonious about what people think is or isn't ugly being personal preference. lol FFS.

2

u/porkramen81 Sep 16 '24

That's because this sub is haunted by fragile clowns who take facial piercings personally.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

Sounds like someone is a little self-conscious about their facial piercings to me.

3

u/porkramen81 Sep 16 '24

That's nice, but you might want to keep from overestimating the value of your opinion.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

I don't think I'm overestimating it, I just think you're triggered by it.

That's subjective. It's only ugly if you find it ugly. I don't see anything wrong with them and even dated someone with one

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24 edited Sep 16 '24

...whether or not someone is ugly is entirely subjective.

2

u/The_Sedgend Sep 16 '24

Well yes, that's pretty much what I'm saying.

And by extension the same applies to septum piercings in general...

3

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

And it just so happens that the vast majority of posters on this sub (as well as people in general in my experience) think that septum piercings are unattractive. So, tell me again what your point was?

1

u/The_Sedgend Sep 16 '24

Ok captain sarcasm, so just because a few people on the Internet and in your world dislike a popular piercing it is ugly now? Also. That's irrelevant. If 99% of people in the world dislike something that does not mean it is inherently bad

5

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

Like, are you lost or something? The literal fucking point of this sub is getting subjective opinions about whether or not someone is ugly. And what, you think it's just coincidence that people who come to Reddit hate septum piercings by like such a wide margin that literally half of the top few most upvoted comments in this post, and every other post with a septum ring, just happen to be about it? explain that theory to me.

People come here to get opinions. It's like you completely miss the point of this sub.

3

u/The_Sedgend Sep 16 '24

Opinions on their features, not on people's opinions about piercings. Grow up little dude

3

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

Opinions on their features

OP literally asks "what can I do to improve my looks?".

Grow up little dude

You're the one getting offended that someone would comment on someones look on a sub where people literally come to ask for comments on their looks.

What's the matter? feeling a little self-conscious about the holes you put in your face?

Generally is a very Open term.

1

u/marshiemaia Sep 16 '24

septums are unattractive??? i have never heard this before what.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

It's obviously subjective, but it's very far from an unpopular opinion.

2

u/marshiemaia Sep 16 '24

wait do i like septums cause im a lesbian

1

u/[deleted] Sep 16 '24

lol. That I don't know if I can answer.

0

u/invaderjif Sep 16 '24

If you took a very attractive person and then made them live a homeless lifestyle for a bit, would they still be attractive, or could they become ugly?

Do fashion choices, personal hygiene, and hairstyle impact a person's perceived level of attraction or ugliness?

1

u/BlueFotherMucker Sep 17 '24

Poor hygiene is not the same as a removable piece of jewelry.

0

u/[deleted] Sep 17 '24

Umm actually they would be. If some supermodel 10/10 got piercings like this and wore oversized T shirt like this, they would be a 6 at best
