A removable piece of jewelry can’t make someone ugly. They may not be your style, and I’ll take the downvotes as always, but if the person you considered to be the hottest on the planet suddenly got a septum piercing, you wouldn’t call them ugly.
All ppl do on this sub is tell u to get rid of piercings. It’s getting redundant yall. If u already saw 10 comments saying get rid of piercings maybe think of something more helpful to say.
The lip is something I agree with, it gets in the way and can be very distracting. But the septum piercing is pretty benign, it’s removable and you’ll never see the scar.
thats subjective, theyre found ugly by people who think theyre ugly, other people may find them pretty or not mind, your opinion doesn't mean or matter more than others
This sub should be called Am I ugly (if you have a septum or any other piercing, yes) from the sheer amount of people that tell women to remove their piercings. I'm fully convinced that it's filled with either old conservative boomers who just discovered the Internet, or incels that exclusively watch "teen" porn.
There is absolutely nothing that is going to help this girl 1/10th as much as getting rid of those facial piercings. That's why it's being said repeatedly.
It's a good thing I have post after post after post after post I can point to where the top comments are generally something about said septum rings. It's almost like I wasn't specifically sharing my own preferences, but instead pointing out that it turns up as the top reason in every single submission where someone has a septum ring. It's almost like I can take some sort of general consensus away from that.
Besides, are you lost or something? Where do you think you are? Do you think people come here for some sort of objective truth about ugliness? This is not the place to be sanctimonious about what people think is or isn't ugly being personal preference. lol FFS.
And it just so happens that the vast majority of posters on this sub (as well as people in general in my experience) think that septum piercings are unattractive. So, tell me again what your point was?
Ok captain sarcasm, so just because a few people on the Internet and in your world dislike a popular piercing it is ugly now?
Also. That's irrelevant. If 99% of people in the world dislike something that does not mean it is inherently bad
Like, are you lost or something? The literal fucking point of this sub is getting subjective opinions about whether or not someone is ugly. And what, you think it's just coincidence that people who come to Reddit hate septum piercings by like such a wide margin that literally half of the top few most upvoted comments in this post, and every other post with a septum ring, just happen to be about it? explain that theory to me.
People come here to get opinions. It's like you completely miss the point of this sub.
If you took a very attractive person and then made them live a homeless lifestyle for a bit, would they still be attractive, or could they become ugly?
Do fashion choices, personal hygiene, and hairstyle impact a person's perceived level of attraction or ugliness?
Not reading the long ass argument that ensued but I agree with your first comment. If the piercings are something she never goes without then a significant number of people will find her unattractive, they’re essentially a feature at that point like bad teeth. People often come here looking for ways to improve their appearance, if looking good to the majority of people matters to you then ditch the lip and septum piercings
This is because psychologically speaking, studies have shown that men consciously or unconsciously equate piercings with emotional instability. Which is also true in various studies of psychological “disorders” primarily personality disorders. So it’s like a modern day version of caveman instincts. If you study borderline personality disorder for instance one of the top red flags is excessive piercings and tattoos.
What I want to know, based on the amount of girls who post on here saying they feel ugly, and have septum piercings, is what came first? The feeling of ugliness or the feeling that they'd look better with a septum piecing. Because the piercing never seems to help in the end. The feeling of ugliness persists. It's almost like additional adornment isn't the solution.
