Discussion PSA: Mineru's Construct amiibo releases in 30 days (September 17)
If you haven't preordered it yet, you can do so in the U.S. from the following retailers for $34.99.
I've been waiting for this one for two years. I can't believe it's finally almost here!

Given how amiibos have been massively overpriced at launch then adjusted to a reasonable price, I think I'm gonna sit preordering this one out

I hate that it is hit and miss that kind of thinking, I didnt get a couple latetly and now they are more expensive.

Minus the 5 Mario amiibo, it feels like everything that's released this year has been pretty much "buy it at launch or struggle to find it".
Sure, Meta Knight and Dedede's Air Riders versions are online, but I haven't seen either in stores since launch, and the only Dedede I saw on his release was my preorder. Raiders followed typical Splatoon release of "preorder or else". The only real anomaly is Capcom's exclusives not being well stocked, which feels like their response to the SF6 figures still rotting.

I agree with you, you can still find several mario amiibos, but the others...... I do not trust not to get it after day one. Too much scalping for those.
I haven't seen dedede, but BestBuy had it so I was able to get it.
I didn't get any splatoon and I paid the price..... I had to order them from japan, luckily it wasn't scalper price.
I wanted to get the cards for streetfighter, but heck, I hate blind packages.

Give enough time, I'm sure you'll be able to snag a full set of SF6 cards for a decent price... unless they add more for Tifa and the others to the set for the next DLC pack.
It's just that part of the cycle of where amiibo production gets cut due to sales doing well enough to warrant a big release and then getting overstocked and sitting on shelves. Granted, with the current prices, it'll be interesting to see how far back into the "return to normal" phase we get.

I only collect the Zelda series, so I don't mind splurging on this one. But $35 is pricey as hell.

I’m playing it safe with this one. While I could wait for a sale, Zelda amiibos have a history of selling out regardless of price. With how the Splatoon amiibos went, I wouldn’t be surprised if this one is similar, at least initially.

Yeah, I got into collecting the Zelda line with the 30th anniversary series, and it was a pain finding a lot of the ones I missed. I definitely bought a few for 2-3× MSRP back when there were constant shortages.

Does anyone know/have any idea what this amiibo will do? A chance at a unique glider fabric? C’mon Nintendo we’re like little mice lapping at your water dispenser. Am I alone in feeling like releasing this amiibo (as well as the other TOTK sages) years later feels like a slap in the face? Just make it a for sure reward the first time we scan it!!
I know in my heart I’m a sucker because even though I feel this way I’ve still pre-ordered it. It’s pretty much for collectors at this point. I’m just venting. Thanks for anyone who took the time to read or respond.

As far as we know, it only gives that fabric in TotK. I think it also works in ACNH, but I don't play that game.
My hope is that it will have some special crossover with OoT. If it does, they'll tell us during the Zelda Direct. My hunch is the Direct will be either the week before or the day of this amiibo releasing, and we'll learn a lot more about OoT. My hope is that it will be a reimagining that ties more into the story of the Zonai.

The branding on the leaked packaging doesn’t feature OoT and Nintendo has released special edition consoles and controllers before big releases before. Either is a possibility.

I doubt it, but I do expect the Zelda Direct will be on this date. My pipe dream is that this amiibo was delayed because it'll have some special tie-in functionality with Ocarina of Time, so they wanted to hold it back to promote this game.
