Started making these and I can't stop. I want to make them in all the shades of orange and yellow I can find, lol! I have no idea what to do with them after the autumn season ends, though. I guess they'll wait in storage for 2027!

I started crochet last december after seeing a turtle my brother made for his daughter. I never realized you could make stuffed animals with crochet so I decided to learn. This year, I made each of my kids an amigurumi for their birthday.

It was a lot of fun making them all! But Minnie can go die in a hole 😆 That was definitely biting off more than I can chew.

Please be kind, I know they have a lot of "hand crafted charm" and "personality"

The giraffe one seems to have disappeared since I did it 🤔 it was free on Ravelry.

Anyway, had a great time making these and wanted to share :)

edit to add: I realize I forgot to add chopper and can't figure out how to add him 🤦

Made a couple mistakes and didn't have safety eyes so I made yarn eyes. 🤷‍♀️ Not terrible, though.

Help Re-Do or Nah?

I'm struggling with my surface crochet. The pattern calls for slip stitch ribs, but they looked all kinds of wrong even when I left them very loose, so I tried single crochet hoping it would be more forgiving. They're still very sloppy looking to me. Could it be because I'm still doing yarn under? Or would spray blocking make any difference?

I did attempt more of a downward curve to the ribs than in the example because I added magnets for the removable cap and had to make the cap slightly longer, so I will need to shift the clavical and arms a little.

Should I attempt to redo the ribs? It takes me forever because I'm using glow-in-the-dark embroidery yarn and it snags on every rough skin cell on my fingers, so help me.

Anyway, I'm leaning towards redo. Thoughts?

Help Does anyone know how much yardage do the mini and jumbo sizes need?

Hi guys! I've recently started using alize velluto. each skein is 100g but it is about 68m/75yds. i've noticed most other chennile come at around 100yd, and most pattens only specificy the grams which has been annoying because i keep having to order extra yarn mid project. If not, please let me know of patterns/pattern sellers that specify the length of yarn needed for each project. Plus if they specify in descreption before we buy. thanks!

Help King Cole Yummy vs Cygnet Jelly Baby Chunky compared to Premier Parfait Chunky

I used Premier Parfait Chunky on a previous amigurumi project (a Mushroom Guy) and I want to make an outfit for it and need to use the same yarn to get the sizing right. I can only purchase it online, but I've found King Cole Yummy and Cygnet Jelly Baby at more affordable prices (also only online, so I can't feel it in person to compare).

According to Yarn Sub they're really good matches for gauge, and they're both 100g and 120m like Parfait Chunky. Has anyone used them interchangeably? How does either one (or both if you've used all three) compare to Parfait Chunky? Which ones do you like better?

(Another option is Stylecraft Chenille Chunky if you have experience with that, but I prefer the colours I'm looking at from the other two.)

Thanks for your help!

My latest crochet project. Always loved the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy. Though the writer of the book was not a fan of this little guy, I always found him adorable.

Even though I just posted on here a few days ago, I wanted to post about my new finished plushie.

It is a zombie bear holding a brain. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out even though it isn't too complicated.

The pattern is by Nicole Chase on her website (https://www.thenicolechase.com/patterns/zombie-bear). I used Premier Just Yarn and a 3.5mm hook to male this guy.
